CONOR MCGREGOR SAYS 2 CHAINZ IS A “LYRICAL GENIUS”

2 Chainz is an expert in the art of rhyming. For years, fans and reviewers have appreciated 2 Chainz’s clever metaphors and hilarious punchlines, and he continues to lift the ante with his bars whenever he gets the chance.

2 Chainz ran into UFC fighter Conor McGregor on Thursday (August 5), and the two decided to pose for a short picture for their Instagram fans. 2 Chainz shared a pair of photos with a short message detailing the chance encounter. In his post, McGregor, on the other hand, commended 2 Chainz’s lyrical skills.

McGregor backed up his assertion that 2 Chainz is a lyrical genius in another Instagram picture by sharing his favorite verse by the So Help Me God rapper in the comment. McGregor chose one of 2 Chainz’s most simple rhymes as his favorite out of all the bars he’s spit throughout his career.

“‘She got a big booty so I call her big booty’ – @2chainz,” McGregor wrote. “That’s the goat lyric of all time ya’s mad fools hahahahahaah classic #bigbooty.”

Conor McGregor enjoys Hip Hop culture for more than just 2 Chainz’s rhymes. The late Biggie Smalls inspired McGregor’s moniker “The Notorious One.” McGregor even donned a Coogi sweater identical to the one worn by the Brooklyn icon before his bout at UFC 205 in 2018.

THE MOTHER OF FETTY WAP’S 4-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER BLAME TMZ FOR ANNOUNCING THE CAUSE OF DEATH TOO EARLY

Over the last several days, Fetty Wap has been mourning the loss of his 4-year-old daughter Lauren Maxwell on social media, however he hasn’t revealed any specifics regarding her death.

Maxwell died on June 24 at her home in Riverdale, Georgia, following a fatal cardiac arrhythmia caused by consequences of congenital cardiac abnormalities, a heart condition she’d had since birth, according to TMZ.

However, Maxwell’s mother, Lisa Pembroke, also known as Turquoise Miami on social media, is enraged that TMZ and Hollywood Unlocked announced the cause of death too soon. Miami slammed both publications for digging out her daughter’s death certificate in an angry Instagram post on Thursday (August 5).

“Her death certificate says cardiac arrhythmia due to a congenital heart defect,” she wrote in the since-deleted post. “BUT THAT IS NOT THE FULL CAUSE OF HER DEATH THAT IS WHY THE AUTOPSY HASN’T COME BACK! HOW DARE YALL GO STEAL MY CHILDS DEATH CERTIFICATE AND ANNOUNCE THE CAUSE OF DEATH BEFORE ANYBODY WAS READY. THERE IS A REASON WHY! HER AUTOPSY ISN’T BACK YET ASSHOLE @TMZ_TV @hollywoodunlocked.”

In the caption, Turquoise Miami continued to slam both sources, saying, “THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL SHIT YALL COULD EVER DO TO A HUMAN BEING @hollywoodunlocked @tmz_tv

“I hope if y’all even met with this type of situation that people show y’all the same disregard that y’all 2 blog owners have shown me ! And that have the audacity to PUT MY GOVERNMENT NAME that has not been on the internet, on the Internet DO YALL SMOKE CRACK !?”

But Maxwell’s mother wasn’t done yet, and she quickly vented her displeasure on Instagram.

“I’m tired of my privacy being invaded,” she continued. “I’m tired of people lying on my child. I’m tired of people reporting lies about my child. Y’all love breaking news so bad but this is my life and it’s me without my daughter not one of y’all! I feel the loneliness every night not none of y’all! Y’all so fuckin thirsty to report on a 4 year old. This is my trauma that is why I posted and moved HOW I FELT COMFORTABLE.”

She then verified that Hollywood Unlocked had taken down the story, but that TMZ had not. She now claims that the publication tampered with the article’s timestamp to make it appear as though it was freshly published.

“Ur www.tmz.com article has been sitting there since 1am according to the article time and date,” she said. “So stop playing innocent. Y’all posted about her death at 1 am not 9:49am before ANYBODY DISCLOSED HER DEATH. And enough blogs took it where I became aware of your article through @hollywoodunlocked.”

Fetty Wap, for his part, posted an emotional video on Instagram earlier this week requesting his fans to send him butterfly emojis for his kid. He then captioned a photo of Maxwell on Instagram, “Hey tiny me (My Twin) I love you to the moon and back forever and ever greatest buddy.” He has yet to respond to the charges made by Miami.

KEHLANI EXPLAINS HOW SMOKING WEED COULD HAVE ENDED HER CAREER

Hip hop and marijuana are inextricably linked. Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, and other artists rely on the flower, yet other people would rather go about their lives without it.

Kehlani stated on TikTok on Monday (August 2) that she decided to quit smoking cannabis in 2018 because she wasn’t the most productive stoner. Many people mistook her for a smoker, but she addressed the situation.

“I used to smoke a lot of weed and now I speak on it in a past tense perspective,” she said. “People think I’m shitting on weed, I’m not. I loved weed when I was involved with it. It’s a beautiful plant with very nice properties when used correctly. I don’t think that I was using it correctly. I think I was overusing it.”

According to the singer of It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, she abruptly ended her career when doctors informed her she only had a few years left if she kept tugging on Backwoods.

“It really really messed with my vocal cords and it really took a lot of energy from my day,” she added. “I stopped to regulate my body and myself… I got to a point where I couldn’t eat, sleep or be at a social gathering. I couldn’t kick it without smoking weed and I just didn’t want it to have that hold on my life anymore … And also my throat and lungs were tired of me.”

She continued, “I’m not judging the weed smokers! Get it, girl.”

Kehlani issued another explanation in April, this time about her sexuality. The artist openly declared her lesbian status on Instagram Live.

BLAME IT ON BABY: COLORADO SUMMER JAM SHUTTERS WITH DABABY’S “RECENT COMMENTS”

DaBaby has been national news since July 25 when he went on an unsolicited diatribe during his Rolling Loud Miami set many perceived to be both homophobic and sexist. Like dominos, DaBaby’s scheduled festival performances have been crashing left and right — from Lollapalooza 2021 and the Governor’s Ball to Day N Vegas.

DaBaby also announced that he will not be doing his headline act at the KS 107.5 Summer Jam in Denver, Colorado. The organizers of the Fiddler on the Roof event were dismayed by DaBaby’s statements, according to 9 News, and published a statement explaining why they chose to cancel the event.

” In light of various factors, including DaBaby’s recent comments, along with our concert partners, we have chosen to cancel this year’s Summer Jam,” the statement read. “We look forward to working on Summer Jam lineups for years to come with our love of music and each other.”

DaBaby’s original remarks targeted HIV/AIDS-positive men and women, resulting in a barrage of condemnation.

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up.”

He added, “Ladies, if your pussy smell like water, put your cellphone light in the air. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

Many celebrities, including Madonna, Elton John, Questlove of The Roots, CHIKA, and DaBaby’s “Levitating” partner Dua Lipa, have criticized the KIRK rapper for his callous statements.

DaBaby has now apologized – twice — but each “I’m sorry” appeared to exacerbate the problem.

“Anybody who done ever been affected by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset,” he tweeted on July 27. “what I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies. But the LGBT community … I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. y’all business is y’all business.”

Following the cancellation of Day N Vegas, he said, “I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I know education on this is important.”

However, it appears that his efforts were in vain. Anyone who purchased Summer Jam tickets in Colorado will get a refund from the place of purchase.

QUAVO SAYS HIS ASSISTANT IS PAID $5K PER DAY AND THAT HE IS A MILLIONAIRE

Quavo makes it a point to look after individuals around him. Huncho said on Tuesday (August 3) that he pays his helper $5,000 per day and that he is now a millionaire on Instagram.

The Migos frontman posted a photo to Instagram with his assistant sheltering him from the sun with an umbrella.

The Migos’ helper appears to be the fourth member of the Grammy-nominated group. According to the math, Quavo’s assistant would earn over $25,000 each week, putting him on track to earn nearly $1.2 million in a year with two weeks off.

Following the release of the group’s Culture III album in June, which opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, behind Polo G’s Hall of Fame, the checks will continue to flow in for Quavo.

The world continues to be awestruck by Quavo’s physical prowess. Huncho participated in the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game in July, when he showcased his baseball abilities. Quavo was instrumental in his team’s 20-10 triumph, but MVP honors went to San Antonio Spurs player Derrick White.

IN AMSTERDAM, T.I. WAS ARRESTED: ‘IT SAID POLICE IN A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE’

On Tuesday (August 3), T.I. was reportedly detained in Amsterdam after an unpleasant bike mishap. The Hustle Gang boss says in a video posted to Instagram that he was arrested for using his phone while driving through town. He claims he didn’t come to a halt when crossing the roadway, and his handlebar shattered a cop’s side mirror.

“So I’m locked up now,” he said in an Instagram Live video uploaded by TMZ. “I’m obviously not supposed to have my phone as I’m biking and because the policeman ran into me and broke his side mirror…and I didn’t have my passport on me. I don’t know. It’ll be fine. He was extremely upset. I, myself, was out having a great time. I’m still not upset. They arrested me and didn’t even put me in handcuffs. They just opened the door and invited me to the backseat. I obliged.

“Let me see how I can make my bond real quick ’cause they don’t take cash. I got cash in my pocket, but they don’t seem to take this [laughs]. I ain’t no handcuffs put on me yet. They ain’t search me yet. We working on the buddy system out here and I like it.”

T.I. gets out of jail in another video and claims he had no idea the man shouting at him to halt was a cop.

“He was in a white van,” he says. “I didn’t know he was police. He looked like a furniture delivery …. I didn’t know he was. So then he pulled and I kept going, kept pushing like he wasn’t talking to me because I didn’t know what he was saying.

“Then he on the side and he said, ‘Stop!’ I understood that. Then I could see it said police in a different language, so I was like, “OK, this must be they police.’ I pulled over. I stopped, I slowed down at least and I guess I didn’t stop fast enough for him, so he pulled up and tried to cut me off.”

The officer then allegedly pressed up on his handlebar with his rearview mirror, knocking it off the police car, according to Tip. He was apprehended at that point.

Tiny, T.I.’s wife, was obviously on the trip, as her voice could be heard in the second video as they joked with the locals about how cops in the Netherlands don’t shoot Black people.

BIG SEAN SAYS HIS CHIROPRACTOR ASSISTED HIM IN GROWING 2 INCHES TALLER

Big Sean claims he’s added some inches to his height thanks to seeing a chiropractor on a regular basis.

On Tuesday morning (August 3), the Detroit rapper posted a video to his Instagram Stories saying he’s the same height as someone who is 5’10”. Big Sean is 5’8′′ tall, according to many websites, thus his stats add up.

“My n-gga Ronnie 5’10″… solid,” he said in the clip. “So bitch, look at me next to him, bitch. N-ggas try and hate on me like I’m 5’6″. Nah, for real, I probably even grew like a couple inches.”

Big Sean claims that weekly visits to his chiropractor helped him straighten his spine and quit slouching. In the caption he wrote, “How da fuck I grow 2 inches ? Chiropractor for a year straight twice a week, that’s how. Straight Spine thas how. I’m laughing cause it’s real.”

The G.O.O.D. Music singer has spoken up about his mental health as well as his physical health. He spoke to Highsnobiety in October 2020 about his struggles with anxiety and the necessity of teaching children about it from a young age.

“I got to a place in my life where I was confused about how I was feeling,” Big Sean explained. “Rapping and making music, that’s something I always wanted to do, since I was 11 years old — and I got to a point where I was feeling very burnt out, feeling like it was more of a job than my passion. I had tonnes of anxiety and just felt inadequate. To the point where I didn’t even wanna live anymore.”

He continued, “Anxiety is something I’ve had to deal with more than physics, and more than trigonometry, and certain things I learned. This is something I deal with on a daily basis. I think that now, especially with social media, it needs to be incorporated in schools. Because social media has changed the dynamic. It’s beautiful that we all are together and all on the same platform, but we have to make sure that we put it in a perspective to where it doesn’t define our lives and give us validation for our existence.”

THE UNITED STATES SENATE APPROVED NATIONAL HIP HOP RECOGNITION DAY AND MONTH

Hip hop has been fighting for recognition since its inception. On Thursday (July 29), the Senate chambers made history by passing a resolution designating August 11 as National Hip Hop Celebration Day in the United States.

S.Res.331 also declares August 2021 as Hip Hop Celebration Month and November 21 as Hip Hop History Month, in addition to August 11 as Hip Hop Celebration Day. The vote was carried out unanimously.

LOS ANGELES POLICE ATTACK SOULJA BOY’S BIRTHDAY PARTY AS HE PULLS UP IN A NEW $200K MCLAREN

Soulja Boy celebrated his 31st birthday on Wednesday (July 28) by having his party shut down.

According to TMZ, the “Crank Dat” rapper’s party was in full flow when LAPD cops arrived in response to multiple noise complaints.

People were also irritated by the high number of partygoers and the late hour.

Several cruisers and a police aircraft were dispatched to the site to assist with crowd dispersal. Soulja Boy, who was late for his own birthday party, didn’t appear to bother since he was too preoccupied with the yellow McLaren his pal Ray J had just given him.

Several stickers promoting Ray J’s headphone firm Raycon were put on the luxury whip, which begins with $200,000.

In terms of the party, host OG 3Three dealt with the cops by urging everyone to leave before the officers began writing citations. Soulja Boy was then able to safely drive away in his McLaren.

Saweetie, who is known for her unusual culinary combinations like pouring ranch on her spaghetti, is the next celebrity to get her own McDonald’s meal. Starting August 9, the Saweetie Meal will be available at Golden Arches restaurants across the United States.

The Saweetie Meal includes a Big Mac, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries, and medium Sprite, as well as Tangy BBQ and ‘Saweetie ‘N Sour’ sauces for dipping. Fans are urged to “remix” their meals by adding fries to Big Mac burgers.

“McDonald’s and I run deep – from growing up back in Hayward, California, all through my college days – so I had to bring my icy gang in on my all-time favorites,” she said about the partnership in a statement. “Depending on the mood I’m in, there are so many ways to enjoy my order. I like to keep things fresh – I know that’s right.”

Saweetie’s meal is the latest in a long series of celebrity dinners, including successful collaborations with BTS, J Balvin, and Travis Scott, which resulted in supply shortages at several places. According to reports, the Houston native made $5 million from McDonald’s and another $15 million from Mickey Dee’s merchandise sales.

On the music front, fans of the “My Type” rapper are still waiting for the release of her first album, Pretty Bitch Music. Saweetie revealed her intention to postpone the project until later in 2021 in a June interview with Big Tigger.

“Pretty Bitch Music was supposed to come out this month, but I was really living with it,” she explained. “And one of my goals is for people to really feel something with every song, so I had to go back and reconstruct some songs. Just know that I’m a perfectionist and it’s on the way.”
