Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group (CMG) empire has already grown this year with the signings of Mozzy, Lil Poppa, and the label’s first R&B singer Lehla Samia, but he’s now aiming to expand in a different way.

The Memphis rap entrepreneur said on Wednesday (May 18) that he is hiring a personal chauffeur to drive him about in his ever-expanding fleet of luxury automobiles. The position earns a generous $250,000 salary, but applicants must be ready to wear a yellow top hat.

“Looking for a Chauffeur Paying good ..250k #YellowTopHat Extra,” he wrote on Instagram.

Yo Gotti’s employment announcement comes only days after he spent $1.2 million on two new Rolls-Royces to celebrate his 41st birthday. Each vehicle is worth $600,000 and features a special lemon-yellow interior. They’re carrying on Gotti’s annual habit of going on a seven-figure shopping spree around his birthday.

“Every year we blow a bag,” the CM10 rapper, who officially turned 41 on Thursday (May 19), said in an Instagram video showing off his birthday purchases. “This how we do in this. We twinnin’ in this muthafucka.”

By the sounds of it, Yo Gotti’s birthday bonanza isn’t over just yet. “Ayo, it’s officially CMG Summer, it’s officially my birthday kick-off. Stay tuned, we got a couple more big announcements for y’all,” he said in an Instagram clip posted late Wednesday. “I spend a million dollars everywhere and so far I’m at 1.2. Y’all keep counting … Street n-ggas we up.”

Yo Gotti announced the resumption of his annual Birthday Bash in Memphis after a two-year absence due to COVID-19 earlier this month. On July 15, the performance will take place at the FedEx Forum.

Soulja Boy celebrated his 31st birthday on Wednesday (July 28) by having his party shut down.

According to TMZ, the “Crank Dat” rapper’s party was in full flow when LAPD cops arrived in response to multiple noise complaints.

People were also irritated by the high number of partygoers and the late hour.

Several cruisers and a police aircraft were dispatched to the site to assist with crowd dispersal. Soulja Boy, who was late for his own birthday party, didn’t appear to bother since he was too preoccupied with the yellow McLaren his pal Ray J had just given him.

Several stickers promoting Ray J’s headphone firm Raycon were put on the luxury whip, which begins with $200,000.

In terms of the party, host OG 3Three dealt with the cops by urging everyone to leave before the officers began writing citations. Soulja Boy was then able to safely drive away in his McLaren.
