FANS OF DRAKE LEFT ANGRY AFTER THE VANCOUVER SHOW WAS POSTPONED A FEW HOURS PRIOR TO SHOWTIME

Due to “unforeseen circumstances,” Drake abruptly postponed the first of two gigs scheduled for Vancouver, infuriating the concertgoers that showed up.

Those waiting in line for the event on Monday were assured by a Rogers Arena employee, “We want to make this as easy for you as possible” (August 28). “Unfortunately, the concert this evening has been postponed … It’s out of our control.”

She continued as the audience’s irate outbursts subsided: “You and your wristbands will be honored on Wednesday [August 30].”

Upon the announcement, one of the fans even said, “This my 13th reason.” The remark made reference to the television program 13 Reasons Why, in which a young girl outlines all the factors that led to her suicide.

The fact that many individuals are selling the postponed event tickets online suggests that they won’t be able to attend the rescheduled date.

Only hours before the gates were scheduled to open, the performance was called off, and not for any particular reason other than problems with “the newly installed scoreboard” at the arena. Fans online haven’t been accepting of Drizzy’s last-minute change as a result.

The OVO boss has continued to discuss NBA-related issues, most notably joining a chorus of NBA players in denouncing Noah Lyles, a track star, for his criticism of the NBA Finals champions being referred to as “World Champions.”

Lyles drew criticism over the weekend when he questioned why only the United States and Canada are represented in the North American sports league, despite the NBA and its players being hailed as world champions.

“You know what hurts me the most is that I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have ‘world champion’ on their head,” the 26-year-old track star said at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. “World champion of what? The United States? Don’t get me wrong, I love the U.S. at times. But that ain’t the world… There ain’t no flags in the NBA.”

The 6 God attacked Lyles in support of his NBA pals after learning about the shocking remarks. With his formal role as the Toronto Raptors’ ambassador, Drake is also connected to the league.

“He thought this speech was gonna be so hard in the mirror the night before… now the whole league doesn’t rate u,” Drake used a series of laughing emojis to respond to Akademiks’ repost of Lyles’ remarks.

After an object is thrown at him on stage, Lil Wayne threatens to leave the show

Over the weekend, Lil Wayne was performing when something flew onto the stage. Weezy halted his Jacksonville performance to warn the audience that he would not put up with their rudeness and would leave if it persisted.

On Friday, August 19, the Young Money president performed as the main attraction at Jacksonville’s VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. But midway into Tha Carter IV’s “Blunt Blowin,” Weezy was interrupted by the probable firing of a flag at his feet.

“This my first song,” he told the crowd. “If a n-gga gonna be throwing shit at me, I ain’t gonna do another song and I’ll get my ass right up out this muthafucka. It’s called respect. So like I said, if a n-gga gonna be throwing shit at me, then I don’t respect that person.

“If you know who that was that threw that shit, tell him I said fuck him and suck on a muthafuckin dick. You little pussy bitch! Throwing flags at me — n-gga, that shit ain’t even real, fuck wrong with you? Pussy muthafucka, let’s go!”

Wayne was able to breeze through the rest of his set, which featured highlights from his illustrious catalog like “Uproar,” “No Worries,” “Rich As Fuck,” “Bitches Love Me,” “Lollipop,” “Mrs. Officer,” “Every Girl,” “Bedrock,” “Swag Surfin,” “Wasted,” “Steady Mobbin’,” and “A Milli.” Things subsided on the object-throwing front.

The rap icon’s next event will be his Saturday return to New Orleans to hold his Lil Weezyana Fest (August 27). With a roster that includes Moneybagg Yo, Coi Leray, Rob 49, and other special guests, he’s bringing along some buddies to play.

Weezy isn’t planning to quit making music any time soon. Wayne made the official announcement that Tha Carter VI is coming during the Young Money reunion concert earlier this month in Toronto.

ANOTHER 125+ ASTROWORLD ATTENDEES HAVE FILE A $750 MILLION LAWSUIT AGAINST TRAVIS SCOTT

On November 5, Houston attorney Tony Buzbee allegedly filed a new multibillion-dollar lawsuit against Travis Scott, Drake, Apple, Live Nation, and others implicated in the Astroworld catastrophe. According to Forbes, Buzbee is representing over 125 concertgoers who were injured physically, mentally, or emotionally as a result of the fatal incident. They’re suing for more than $750 million in damages.

The complaint argues that the event’s organizers failed to “make even a minimal effort” to keep concertgoers safe, noting the death of 21-year-old Axel Acosta, who was one of ten persons killed during the crowd rush.

Scott’s history of “glorified violence and other dangerous behaviors,” according to Buzbee, including the 2015 Lollapalooza incident, in which he was charged with reckless conduct and multiple social media postings inciting people to “rage.”

“No amount of money will ever make these Plaintiffs whole; no amount of money can restore human life,” Buzbee said. “But, the damages sought in this case attempts to fix, help, or make up for the harms and losses suffered by these Plaintiffs — nothing more and nothing less.”

Attorneys Ben Crump, Alex Hilliard, and John Duffy filed another litigation blitz just before this one. Crump and his team held a news conference in Houston’s Harris County Civil Courthouse on November 12 to announce that they are representing over 200 claimed victims of the Astroworld disaster, both physically and emotionally. They’ve already filed 110 cases and expect to file another 90.

The claims described Scott and Live Nation’s offer of reimbursements to concertgoers “a transparent and grotesque effort of the Defendants to limit their liability, after the fact, to the families of those killed or injured.”

As a mob of almost 50,000 people attempted to storm the stage as Scott played, ten people died and over 300 were wounded. Ezra Blount, 9, was the ninth victim, who died on Sunday (November 14). Blount had been in a medically induced coma for many days, with damage to his lungs, kidneys, and heart. He was also suffering from a swollen brain as a result of his cardiac arrest.

The incident also claimed the lives of Mirza Baig, 27, Rodolfo Pea, 23, Madison Dubiski, 23, Franco Patio, 21, Jacob Jurinke, 20, John Hilgert, 14, Axel Acosta Avila, 21, Brianna Rodriguez, 16, and Bhari Shahari, 22.

BLAME IT ON BABY: COLORADO SUMMER JAM SHUTTERS WITH DABABY’S “RECENT COMMENTS”

DaBaby has been national news since July 25 when he went on an unsolicited diatribe during his Rolling Loud Miami set many perceived to be both homophobic and sexist. Like dominos, DaBaby’s scheduled festival performances have been crashing left and right — from Lollapalooza 2021 and the Governor’s Ball to Day N Vegas.

DaBaby also announced that he will not be doing his headline act at the KS 107.5 Summer Jam in Denver, Colorado. The organizers of the Fiddler on the Roof event were dismayed by DaBaby’s statements, according to 9 News, and published a statement explaining why they chose to cancel the event.

” In light of various factors, including DaBaby’s recent comments, along with our concert partners, we have chosen to cancel this year’s Summer Jam,” the statement read. “We look forward to working on Summer Jam lineups for years to come with our love of music and each other.”

DaBaby’s original remarks targeted HIV/AIDS-positive men and women, resulting in a barrage of condemnation.

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up.”

He added, “Ladies, if your pussy smell like water, put your cellphone light in the air. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

Many celebrities, including Madonna, Elton John, Questlove of The Roots, CHIKA, and DaBaby’s “Levitating” partner Dua Lipa, have criticized the KIRK rapper for his callous statements.

DaBaby has now apologized – twice — but each “I’m sorry” appeared to exacerbate the problem.

“Anybody who done ever been affected by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset,” he tweeted on July 27. “what I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies. But the LGBT community … I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. y’all business is y’all business.”

Following the cancellation of Day N Vegas, he said, “I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I know education on this is important.”

However, it appears that his efforts were in vain. Anyone who purchased Summer Jam tickets in Colorado will get a refund from the place of purchase.

ROLLING LOUD EXPLAINS STAGE MALFUNCTION AHEAD OF KANYE WEST, TRAVIS SCOTT, AND OTHER PERFORMANCES IN MIAMI

In the aftermath of a screen projector falling ahead of the 2021 Rolling Loud Miami weekend, what might have been a terrifying sight is now just that.

After local Florida news sites aired aerial imagery of the blacked-out festival grounds, the official Rolling Loud Festival account did damage control while explaining the damage to one of its stages on Thursday (July 22).

The silver lining, of course, is that no one was hurt.

“In case you see it on the news, a screen fell down at one of our stages,” a tweet from the verified Rolling Loud account read. “Nobody was hurt and it will be fixed before doors open tomorrow. The show goes on!”

The concert will include headliners A$AP Rocky, Post Malone, and Travis Scott, as well as Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, Playboi Carti, City Girls, NLE Choppa, and more.

In the aftermath of his tenth studio album, DONDA, Kanye West will make a surprise appearance.

Fredo Bang, who was detained by federal officials on Thursday, a day before his scheduled Rolling Loud Miami concert, will not be so fortunate. Investigators suspect the Def Jam rapper was involved in the 2019 Miami shooting of YoungBoy Never Broke Again.

As of press time, there were no details as to what caused the Rolling Loud Miami stage to collapse.
