‘THIS WILL GO VIRAL!’ SOULJA BOY SAYS HE HAS A ‘BILLION DOLLAR’ IDEA FOR MCDONALD’S.

After earning over $7 million in 2010, Soulja Boy was named No. 7 on Forbes’ list of Hip Hop Cash Kings. Over a decade later, the chart-topper of “Crank Dat” is still seeking for new ways to earn money, and his latest target is Mickey D’s.

Soulja Boy sent a pair of tweets to McDonald’s on Tuesday (July 6), alerting the fast-food giant that he wants to run a proposal past them.

“I got a billion dollar idea,” he wrote. “@McDonalds trust me.”

McDonald’s wrote back, “I’m listening” and Soulja then explained, “The SouljaBurger but the secret is in the ingredients I’ll dm them to you trust me this will go VIRAL!”

McDonald’s has previously collaborated with rappers, most notably for Travis Scott’s trademark value meal. Last fall, the dish was made available nationally, and the restaurant struggled to keep them in stock. The fast-food company revealed in an internal document obtained by USA Today that the Travis Scott collaboration’s success had resulted in shortages of the components used in the $6 meal.

“We’ve created a program that’s so compelling to our customers that it’s stretching our world-class supply chain; and if demand continues at these levels, more restaurants will break supply,” the company told its employees and franchises owners at the time. “In fact, it’s been so lit, some of our restaurants have temporarily sold out of some of the ingredients in the meal. We’re working closely with our suppliers, distributors and franchisees to resupply impacted restaurants as quickly as possible.”

Soulja Boy is rumored to be planning something similar. For the time being, at least one thing is certain: McDonald’s is listening

NLE CHOPPA EXPLAINS WHY HE WOULD LIKE TO BUY OUT HIS CONTRACT AND STOP RAPING

NLE Choppa built a name for himself as a rapper, but after a life-changing discovery of meditation in 2020, he’s planning to leave it all behind in favor of herbalism.

On Tuesday (July 6), the popular 18-year-old Memphis singer revealed on Twitter that he wants to buy out his recording contract with Warner Records in order to pursue a career as a herbalist.

“Finna buy out my contract and become full time herbalist,” he wrote. “Forget the music stuff about to help my people.”

NLE Choppa was signed by Warner Records in July 2019 when he was 16 years old, and his first album Top Shotta was released in August 2020, followed by the From Dark to Light mixtape in November 2020.

NLE Choppa has his own health and wellness firm, appropriately titled NLE Health & Wellness, and is no stranger to pharmacognosy. He said on June 8 that he’s as much of a herbalist as he is a rapper, and that he’s the only artist who can do both.

“I’m really a rapper and a herbalist,” he said. “Only rapper to ever sale healing herbs to help they people and at the same time balance putting music out. That’s huge in my eyes and I feel it can be world changing.”

NLE Choppa claimed two days later that he helped heal a girl’s cancer by including fragrant flowering plants into her diet.

“Wow man just was informed I helped cure someone from cancer,” he said. “This Major To Me. ThankGod. It’s funny cause some people think I’m lying, which is understandable but that’s nowhere near the case. Curing disease is simple, it takes a meatless, dairy free, sugar free diet. Implant herbs, Sea mosses, black seed, neem, and other herbs. My mugwort was included in her diet.”

He added, “I don’t just sell this items to sell them. I know the impact and what they can do for the mind, body, and spirit. I’ve healed people of allergic reactions in my own house, helped Unc with diabetes, and now cancer. Beyond blessed we here to help and heal.”

IN COURT, THE ACCUSED KILLER OF POP SMOKE LEARNS THE DEATH PENALTY DECISION

Corey Walker, one of Pop Smoke’s suspected assassins, was facing the death penalty for the Brooklyn drill rapper’s murder in 2020, but it now appears that he will avoid that fate.

During a hearing on Tuesday (July 6), the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office opted not to seek the death sentence for Walker, according to The Shade Room. The 20-year-old defendant appeared in court for an arraignment hearing when he learnt of the prosecutor’s decision. He was dressed in a royal blue prison uniform and mask. Walker had previously requested that the murder charge be dropped, but his request was refused in May.

Walker, along with two minors and another adult, was accused with Pop Smoke’s murder. Pop Smoke’s extravagant Rolex watch, which they ended up selling for around $2,000, was said to be the motivation for the failed heist.

Deputy District Attorney Hilary Williams, who is prosecuting the case, says the maximum punishment Walker may get if proven guilty is life in prison without the possibility of parole. After a printing issue with the court paperwork, Walker returns to court on Wednesday (July 7) to make a formal plea.

Pop Smoke’s suspected killer is only 15 years old, making him the youngest of the four suspects facing murder and robbery charges in the case. In a taped conversation with a cellmate in a juvenile prison center in May 2020, he reportedly admitted to his role in the murder.

“He admitted that he shot the victim three times with a Baretta 9 (mm.),” LAPD Detective Carlos Camacho testified at a preliminary hearing for Walker. The detective said the teen “admitted they asked for the jewelry” and then had “a confrontation” with Pop Smoke before ultimately killing him.

“They got into a fight, and he shot him three times,” Camacho said. “He said he shot him on the back.”

After his arrest in July 2020, Walker admitted to his role in another covertly recorded jailhouse conversation with a new informant placed in his cell. He allegedly confessed that the gang tried to “evade detection” by wearing ski masks, gloves, and using a police scanner.

Camacho added, “He said that when the individuals got inside, the suspects confronted (Pop Smoke), who was in the shower naked.”

Pop Smoke’s debut album Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon has become a Billboard phenomenon after his death, debuting at No. 1 and then returning to the top spot three months later. His crew is hoping to recreate magic with his second posthumous album, Pop Smoke, which is set to be released on Friday (July 16). The album contains 17 new songs, although no singles have been released from it (yet).

ON A 2013 TRACK, A PHOENIX RAPPER GOES VIRAL FOR ‘PREDICTING’ CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

COVID-19 was initially discovered in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, with the World Health Organization announcing a global pandemic by March 2020. Dr Creep, a rapper from Phoenix, Arizona, has gone viral after referencing the coronavirus illness in some odd songs eight years ago.

With the lyric, “2020 combined with coronavirus, bodies stacking,” he references the year 2020, the word “coronavirus,” and that there would be large deaths in his 2013 track “Pandemic.”

It’s no surprise that Dr Creep’s song is gaining a lot of attention, especially because COVID-19 became well-known in 2020 and has claimed the lives of 3.96 million people throughout the world since its discovery. The music video has already received over two million views on YouTube.

Dr Creep, on the other hand, claimed in a March 2020 Facebook post that everything was just a coincidence.

“There was already 6 or so coronaviruses in 2012/2013 when the Pandemic song was created and a coronavirus was being talked about a lot at the time,” he wrote. “As for mentioning 2020, well 2020-2030 was just significant years to me, as well as many other people that are educated on these esoteric topics. 10 years ago it was said that 2012 was nothing to worry about, it’s 2020-30 to pay attention to.”

“To me, the lyrics are just more of a coincidence than a prediction as I don’t feel I was trying’ to predict anything, I just rapped about what I was watching. But call it a prediction, dumb luck, coincidence, remote viewing, predictive programming (lmao) or whatever you want.”

He added, “NO, I’m not a prophet. Not Nostradamus. No, I don’t make predictions and No I’m not a writer for The Simpsons. BUT, I have been studying docs and listening to ‘insiders’ & ‘whistle blowers’ in lectures and interviews for 10+ years and some things just add up and lyrics come out of it. NOT a prediction, simple as that.”

As part of the 34-man ‘OPERATION X-FORCE,’ FLORIDA RAPPERS 9LOKKNINE & HOTBOII were slapped with RICO charges

The 21-year-old Interscope Records singer Hotboii (actual name Javarri Latre Walker) recorded a song called “Nobody Special” with Future after releasing his debut album, Double O Baby, in December.

Up-and-coming 9lokk, a group of rappers from Orlando, Nine and HotBoii are two of the 34 people the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has been pursuing for over a year in an effort to put an end to the deadly rivalry between the Army Gang and the 438 Gang.

On Friday (July 2), the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI) released a fresh report to the media, dubbed “Operation X-Force” after the famous X-Men spinoff.

.“These are the nearly three dozen suspects arrested or wanted on racketeering or drug trafficking charges after a nine-month investigation into criminal gangs in Orange County by the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI),” the department said in a statement while brandishing all the mugshots.

9lokkNine, also known as Jacquavius Dennard Smith, is a 20-year-old rapper who has been held in police custody since June 21 on a $750,000 bail on racketeering and conspiracy charges. Officials claimed to have discovered 13 fully automatic weapons conversions inside the Cash Money rapper’s house during the news briefing.

The 21-year-old Interscope Records singer Hotboii (actual name Javarri Latre Walker) recorded a song called “Nobody Special” with Future after releasing his debut album, Double O Baby, in December.

He’s being branded “at large” and faces identical conspiracy charges as his Army Gang adversary 9lokkNine since he’s one of the few individuals who hasn’t been caught.

“Operation X-Force” lasted nine months and was sparked by the murder of Tavyiah King, a 16-year-old innocent bystander and niece of Orlando City Commissioner Regina Hill.

“The ongoing feud that has been going back and forth between these gangs has been responsible for over 30 shootings and several homicides in a number of our jurisdictions,” Sheriff John Mina told the press.

The catalysts for the beefs are also Hip Hop diss tunes, as well as “women and territory.” From the mass shooting in Miami-Dade County to many other young artists being shot and living to tell the tale, Florida has seen its fair share of Hip Hop-violence this year.

CASANOVA GORILLA STONE AFFILIATE HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH THE MURDER OF A 15-YEAR-OLD

Brandon “Stacks” Soto, a Casanova associate, was one of 18 members of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation charged with racketeering in December. But, unlike Casanova, who is still in prison awaiting trial and faces the death sentence, Soto is said to be a contender for the death penalty.

Prosecutors say Soto was involved in the murder of 15-year-old Jalani Jones in September 2020, according to AllHipHop. Investigators were able to obtain communications from Soto’s Instagram account and smartphones that revealed his role in the murder plan.

Soto is also suspected of transporting the shooter to Poughkeepsie, New York. On the same night Jones was slain, his vehicle was captured on security footage dropping off the gunman before going to Brooklyn.

Officers found the car and impounded it, but members of the Gorilla Stone gang reportedly took it and lit it on fire in an isolated area of Manhattan.

Kenneth Montgomery, a public defender who is also representing Ronald “Tinard” Washington, one of the men accused of killing Run-DMC icon Jam Master Jay in October 2002, was assigned by a judge.

Casanova was arrested on several RICO charges in November 2020. In January, U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul Davison ruled that Casanova would have to remain in custody until his trial, stating that while the defense had made a “formidable” case for his release on $2.5 million bond, he was worried about the threat Casanova presents to the community.

“When you go back to the history and characteristics of this defense … this is a defendant who has, over the last decade, managed to rack up three serious violent felony convictions,” Davison said. “It is quite reasonable to infer that people who cross (Casanova) get hurt.”

Casanova’s lawyer, James Kousouros, is certain that his client will be acquitted completely. He argues that prosecutors have presented no evidence to support the charges against Casanova, and that images of firearms found on Casanova’s phones were fake weapons meant to promote the song “Gripped Up.”

We say the government is providing the court with photos of weapons that are promotional photographs,” Kousouros said. “(Casanova’s) appearances are very public, they’re photographed. You never see him with a weapon.”

Jelani Jones will not be able to witness his shooter’s trial. The 15-year-old was brought to Vassar Brothers Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the head, but he died there. There has been no explanation offered.

KEVIN GATES ACCEPTS THAT HE BEGAN RAPPING TO GET RID OF CHILD MOLESTATION.

Kevin Gates recently appeared on Mike Tyson’s podcast, Hotboxin with Mike Tyson, where he discussed some deeply personal subjects.

When asked how he got into the music business, the Atlantic Records musician summoned the guts to discuss his difficult and abusive background, which isn’t unusual. However, he acknowledged for the first time that he had been sexually assaulted as a child, and that music had been his sole solace.

“It was an escape for me,” he said. “And I never said this in no interview or no podcast or anything like that. I grew up real, real violent and real aggressive. Not because I wanted to be, but I was molested as a child. So, I had this fear of being vulnerable. I took every kind of martial arts you could take. I even boxed; I did everything.

“I wanted to be the toughest person on earth. But writing and making music was always an escape for me. I never had the nuts to come out and say that. This is my first time saying this today.”

Kevin Gates is said to have lost contact with his father as a youngster and then reconciled with him as a teenager. Their strained relationship, however, was short-lived. Gates’ father died of AIDS complications when he was 14 years old. Gates’ first arrest occurred a year earlier, when he was arrested for “joyriding” as a passenger, marking the start of a lengthy and grueling legal system.

He spent 31 months in jail between 2008 and 2011, yet during that time he got a master’s degree in psychology through a prison program.

He returned to creating music after being freed for good conduct. Gates was arrested again in April 2017 on gun possession charges that he had been charged with only hours after being released from jail the month before. Sway Calloway maintained his innocence in a 2018 interview, admitting that he merely pleaded guilty to avoid spending more time in prison.

“I was innocent, but I pled guilty to that charge because, you know, a lot of times you can beat the charge, but you can’t beat the ride,” he explained at the time. “I probably would have sat another three or four years just fighting the charge.”

Gates returned the following year with his sophomore album, I’m Him, which charted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Khaza, his follow-up, is set to be released in the not-too-distant future.

Pooh Shiesty’s Instagram Was Used By The Feds To Indict Him on Robbery and Gun Charges

Pooh Shiesty has been charged with federal crimes in relation with a shooting in Florida in 2020– not to be confused with the Memorial Day weekend shooting in a Miami strip joint.

In October 2020, the “Back in Blood” artist and two buddies — Bobby Brown and Jayden Darosa — met up with two other people in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, to buy marijuana and high-end shoes. The situation deteriorated, and the two individuals were shot in the hip and butt.

On June 25, federal charges of Conspiracy to Possess Firearms in Furtherance of Violent Crime, Hobbs Act Robbery Conspiracy, and Discharging a Firearm in Furtherance of a Crime of Violence were filed against the rapper, according to the Miami Herald.

Using Pooh’s Instagram posts, investigators were able to link him to the crime. A Louis Vuitton bag was recovered at the site that had fallen out of the McLaren Pooh was driving at the time of the heist and included $100 notes with the same serial number as the cash the rapper flaunted on Instagram. Investigators also discovered the identical gun used in the crime on Darosa’s Instagram page.

For Conspiracy to Possess Firearms in Furtherance of Violent Crime, Hobbs Act Robbery Conspiracy, and Discharging a Firearm in Furtherance of a Crime of Violence, Pooh faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.

After leaping two weight classes, Gervonta Davis beats Mario Barrios via TKO in the 11th round

Gervonta Davis nailed his transition to super lightweight.

The undefeated two-division champion defeated Mario Barrios via 11th round TKO to become a three-division champion, capturing the WBA (Regular) super lightweight title. Davis’ record now stands at 25-0.

For much of the fight’s early and middle rounds, Barrios had the upper hand, but the eighth round made things intriguing. Davis knocked down Barrios with a right hook, then earned another knockdown a few seconds later. Barrios stayed in the battle for a while, but Davis took control after that.

Midway through the 11th round, Davis knocked down Barrios again, this time with a body blow that left his opponent bent over and on his knees. Barrios stayed in the battle once again, although only for a short time.

“That body punch by Gervonta Davis. Ouch” #Tank pic.twitter.com/ZBKTDMyVej

Fans in Atlanta got their money’s worth, with the fight becoming increasingly violent as it progressed. Davis had the taller assignment, with a roughly five-inch height difference between them, but his punching power definitely communicated.

After the bout, Davis declined to name a specific boxer, although he certainly has plenty of possibilities. Davis could have just landed himself a big-time PPV the next time he steps into the ring, with prospective opponents in both lightweight and super lightweight, as well as his previous weight divisions.
