YNW MELLY Is Accused of Tampering with a Witness in a Double Murder Case

Only days before the start of his retrial, YNW Melly has been charged with witness tampering in his double murder case.

According to an affidavit that XXL was able to get on Wednesday (October 4), Melly (real name Jamell Demons) was subject to the extra charge.

He has also been charged with witness tampering along with his purported co-conspirator in the case, YNW Bortlen (real name Cortlen Malik Henry).

The two are accused of speaking with Melly’s ex-girlfriend Mariah Hamilton and her mother Felicia Holmes over the phone using an inmate called Terrence Mathis in an effort to persuade them not to testify in the case.

The affidavit showed that between March and August 2023, Bortlen and Mathis made 60 distinct phone calls, using varied coded language to conceal their intents.

Melly’s phone rights have been limited for much of 2023, according to Law&Crime Network’s Bryson Paul, who also noted that the rapper is currently under 23/1 lockdown at the Broward County Prison.

Mariah Hamilton said last month that police had threatened to imprison her if she didn’t help them prosecute her ex-boyfriend.

Charges against YNW Bortlen for witness tampering were initially made public on Monday (October 2) during a Miami, Florida, house raid. After that, he was detained in Miami-Dade County.

The date of Bortlen’s court appearance has now been changed to January 12, 2024 because his trial was originally set to start on the day he was taken into custody by the police. Since August 2021, he has been free on bail with a monitor due to his suspected involvement in the 2018 homicides.

Melly’s retrial is set to start on October 9 after the jury was unable to agree on a decision during the original trial in July.

The 24-year-old is charged with shooting and killing his buddies YNW Sakchaser (real name Anthony Williams) and YNW Juvy (actual name Christopher Thomas Jr.) in October 2018 and then fabricating the scene to make it appear as though a drive-by shooting.

Despite three days of deliberation, Judge John Murphy III declared on July 22 that the case had resulted in a mistrial. He remarked of the ambiguous conclusion, “These sorts of judgments, they’re hard ones.

Since Melly’s arrest in February 2019, the first-degree murder charges have taken four and a half years to go through the judicial system.

DUE TO ALLEGED RIGHTS VIOLATIONS, SUGE KNIGHT REQUESTS PRISON RELEASE

Suge Knight has argued that because his civil rights were allegedly violated, he should be granted an early release from jail.

In an interview with AllHipHop, the former head of Death Row Records said that a judge had prevented him from representing himself in his 2018 voluntary manslaughter case.

Suge said he was effectively compelled to accept an inferior plea agreement for the fatal 2015 hit-and-run that wounded actor/director Cle Sloan and murdered Terry Carter because he had three strikes mistakenly recorded against him.

Knight received a final prison term of 28 years.

“So an unfixable error, the only thing you got to do is you got to make a deal and let me go home or show I was right or you let me take my plea back and start all over,” he said. “But it’d be harder to start all over because you did all this with my case.

“This [is] my bed. If they allowed me to go to trial, I would have won my case. I would have beat my case. But they didn’t. Okay, I understand that, right? My crime carries two, six, 11 [years], if I was guilty.

“They gave me — naturally, they going to give me the high term, right? So my past, who I am, definitely is going to make sure I get some time. And I’m fine with that. But you don’t have the right to double me up.”

“You don’t have the right to give me time and a half. You don’t have the right to not let me have a lawyer. So, I wasn’t pushing the envelope as hard at first because I know I got to do some time. But I’ve been gone for nine years, so I did my time already.”

The former record executive is presently imprisoned in San Diego, California at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Center. He just informed TMZ over the phone that he will not be giving a witness statement in the 2Pac murder trial against Duane “Keefe D” Davis.

“Well, surprise, number one,” In response to Keefe D’s recent arrest, Suge commented. “Because I don’t think Keefe D would ever get arrested, nor do I want to see him get arrested.

“Let’s get one thing straight, first and foremost: me and Keefe D played on the same Pop Warner football team. And whatever circumstances — if he had an involvement with anything, if he didn’t have an involvement with anything, I wouldn’t wish somebody going to prison on my worst enemy.”

In addition, Knight asserted that, in contrast to common opinion, Keefe D’s nephew Orlando Anderson was not the shooter.

“There were only two people in the car; ‘Pac’s not gonna tell the story, I ain’t gonna tell the story,” said Suge, who was sat next to 2Pac and also wounded during the fatal 1996 drive-by shooting.

“But I can tell you this: I never had nothing bad to say about Orlando because […] he wasn’t the shooter [..] It wasn’t Anderson, so that’s all I got to say about that part.”

JACKBOY ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF BURGLARY & STALKING

According to reports, Jackboy was detained over the weekend in St. Lucie County, Florida, on suspicion of breaking and entering and cyberstalking.

Jackboy, real name Pierre Delince, was reportedly detained on Saturday (September 16) by the Port St. Lucie Police Department on a number of offenses, including “burglary of an occupied dwelling unarmed” and “cyberstalking.”

According to the arrest documents, the accusations are related to a case of domestic abuse involving a romantic partner. After getting arrested on Saturday morning, Jackboy posted a $5,000 bail to get out on the open road.

Little facts about the domestic dispute, the possible causes of the incident, or the probable repercussions of going to jail are known.

In 2023, the owner of 1804 Records has mostly kept a modest profile in the music industry. He released the gritty video for his track “Problems” to round off August before having a quiet trip in Costa Rica earlier this month.

The Trust of Jackboy On September 11, the Process album was supposed to be released through 1804 and Empire, but the project has been postponed without a set date.

On Majorly Independent, the 26-year-last old’s record, he bragged about his newfound independence after leaving Kodak Black’s Sniper Gang and the big label system.

While the arrest is the most recent setback in Jackboy’s life, the rapper almost died in a near-fatal vehicle accident in September.

Despite being totaled, Jackboy believes that his life was saved by the indestructible shell of his black Chevy SUV.

“Damn, dawg!” he says in one clip as he examines the wreckage. “Wrecked my fucking car, dawg. N-gga almost fucking died. If this bitch wasn’t bulletproof, I woulda muthafucking died out this bitch. Got damn!”

In the caption of the video, he added: “I Got Hella whips [I ain’t] Tripping #ExpensivePain. I love my cars bullet proof Dey Could Take A Good Hit [sunglasses emoji] I’ll Have It Back In 3 Days.”

MEGHANN CUNIFF, A REPORTER, WAS “PROFANELY INSULTED” BY TORY LANEZ DURING HIS LAST COURT APPEARANCE.

According to the court reporter, Tory Lanez insulted Meghann Cuniff in the last seconds of the Megan Thee Stallion shooting trial.

Thursday, September 14, saw Tory (actual name Daystar Peterson) appear in court in Los Angeles for a hearing on his request for bail, which was submitted late last month after his sentencing.

The 31-year-old musician requested permission to move into a “exotic” rental property with his six-year-old kid and new wife Raina Chassagne while his legal team appeals his sentence.

Tory’s plea was dismissed by Judge David Herriford, thus things didn’t work out as planned. Tory’s violent felony conviction, “history of violating court orders” and non-U.S. citizenship, all of which might result in his deportation to Canada and “prevent him from coming back to court even if he wanted to,” were mentioned by the speaker.

That indicates that Tory will soon be sent to a state jail to complete a 10-year sentence (which includes credit for almost a year served).

Lanez allegedly called Meghann Cuniff, who has led coverage of the high-profile trial since it began last year, “a googly-eyed bitch” before leaving the courtroom.

“I didn’t hear it and I’m still working to see if transcript has it, but I’ve confirmed Tory Lanez chose to use his final courtroom moments to profanely insult me, calling me ‘a googly eyed bitch’ as he looked at gallery,” Cuniff tweeted on Thursday. “Conflicting reports on whether he named me. A fitting end.”

A Twitter user’s statement that they’d “like to see this on video,” she responded: “Cross your fingers the court reporter got it in the transcript! Source tells me ‘several people in court heard it, including some of the deputies. I doubt the court reporter picked it up.’ [crossed fingers emoji].”

Tory Lanez has targeted Meghann Cuniff before, so this is not the first time. On social media in July, his crew attacked the Law & Crime reporter, claiming that she was “negative and extremely biased” against the musician.

“With all due respect, please disregard anything Megan Cuniff [sic] reports on Tory Lanez,” the post read. “Her objective, perspective/narrative has always been negative and extremely biased towards him.”

“If there is an update on Tory, it will come from this first. If it doesn’t come from this page, it’s not real. With love – The Umbrella.”

After speaking with a potential replacement for Lanez’s present legal team, the rapper complained in the post that he was “being taken advantage of” by them.

But, Cuniff is not the only lady who has come to be in Tory’s digital sights. Judge Herriford referred to the rapper’s post-shooting behavior, which included tweets and song lyrics directed towards Megan Thee Stallion, as “a major aggravating factor in this case” while imposing the rapper’s sentence last month.

Prior to his punishment, Megan made reference to his actions in a written statement, accusing him of “making a mockery of my trauma.”

“I want you to know that since I was viciously shot by the defendant a little over three years ago, I have not experienced a single day of peace,” she wrote to the judge.

“I have been tormented and terrorized in every degree by the defendant,” she wrote. “He not only shot me, he made a mockery of my trauma. He tried to position himself as a victim and set out to destroy my character and my soul.”

“He lied to anyone that would listen and paid bloggers to disseminate false information about the case on social media. He released music videos and songs to damage my character and continue his crusade.”

As of the time of writing, Future has not made any remarks on the passing of his artist.

Recently, tragedies seem to follow rappers in Chicago.

Lil Tuda, a 14-year-old drill rapper, was shot and died in Chicago in June.

Lil Tuda (actual name Timothy Lockhart) was shot in the head on the West Side of Chicago around 4:45 pm on June 17 in the 100 block of South Homan Avenue, said ABC 7 Chicago. In Chicago’s Stroger Hospital, he was declared dead.

Together with Lil Tuda, another 14-year-old child was shot numerous times and sent to the same hospital.

The incident, which included both adolescent boys and happened during Father’s Day weekend and the Juneteenth holiday, was a tragedy, according to Chicago neighborhood organizer Andrew Holmes.

“I’m not happy at all,” Holmes began. “Father’s Day, Juneteenth, celebrating for what? Until we can stop this gun violence, Black-on-Black crime, and get these individuals in custody, then talk to me. But, we got two babies, two babies here.”

“So, how are their fathers going to be happy? How are their mothers going to be happy? How is this family going to be happy? It’s wrong. Turn these individuals in.”

The DMG (Dirty Money Gang), which is made up of a group of Gangster Disciples and Black P Stones, is said to have included the Chicago drill rapper.

FANS OF DRAKE LEFT ANGRY AFTER THE VANCOUVER SHOW WAS POSTPONED A FEW HOURS PRIOR TO SHOWTIME

Due to “unforeseen circumstances,” Drake abruptly postponed the first of two gigs scheduled for Vancouver, infuriating the concertgoers that showed up.

Those waiting in line for the event on Monday were assured by a Rogers Arena employee, “We want to make this as easy for you as possible” (August 28). “Unfortunately, the concert this evening has been postponed … It’s out of our control.”

She continued as the audience’s irate outbursts subsided: “You and your wristbands will be honored on Wednesday [August 30].”

Upon the announcement, one of the fans even said, “This my 13th reason.” The remark made reference to the television program 13 Reasons Why, in which a young girl outlines all the factors that led to her suicide.

The fact that many individuals are selling the postponed event tickets online suggests that they won’t be able to attend the rescheduled date.

Only hours before the gates were scheduled to open, the performance was called off, and not for any particular reason other than problems with “the newly installed scoreboard” at the arena. Fans online haven’t been accepting of Drizzy’s last-minute change as a result.

The OVO boss has continued to discuss NBA-related issues, most notably joining a chorus of NBA players in denouncing Noah Lyles, a track star, for his criticism of the NBA Finals champions being referred to as “World Champions.”

Lyles drew criticism over the weekend when he questioned why only the United States and Canada are represented in the North American sports league, despite the NBA and its players being hailed as world champions.

“You know what hurts me the most is that I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have ‘world champion’ on their head,” the 26-year-old track star said at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. “World champion of what? The United States? Don’t get me wrong, I love the U.S. at times. But that ain’t the world… There ain’t no flags in the NBA.”

The 6 God attacked Lyles in support of his NBA pals after learning about the shocking remarks. With his formal role as the Toronto Raptors’ ambassador, Drake is also connected to the league.

“He thought this speech was gonna be so hard in the mirror the night before… now the whole league doesn’t rate u,” Drake used a series of laughing emojis to respond to Akademiks’ repost of Lyles’ remarks.

JT gets threatened by FINESSE2TYMES after she compares him to an “ugly” baby

After calling JT of City Girls “ugly” on social media, Finesse2Tymes threatened him.

Lil Uzi Vert, JT’s boyfriend, replied to criticism of his new alter persona, Leslie, whose gender-fluid look and demeanor have alienated followers, which sparked the argument.

Uzi, in the voice of Leslie Chow from The Hangover, remarked in an Instagram Story, “Chow understand people don’t like way of chow.” “But chow don’t give af chow rich and never look back…… suck my monkey tail LESLIE OUT.” Leslie said.

The Shade Room’s article then received a remark from a supporter accusing JT of “taking City Girls down” by dating the androgynous rapper.

JT responded on Thursday (April 20), reportedly after looking at the woman’s Instagram, writing: “ugly baby and dead father.”

The singer of “Act Up” responded to criticism from another Instagram user who said she went too far by making fun of the woman’s child and deceased parent by doubling down and equating the youngster with Finesse2Tymes.

“That baby looks like finesse 2 x’s,” she wrote. “Please leave me alone. I’m not bothering no one.”

She defended her conduct by writing: “I don’t have to be nice to ppl who’s not nice to me!” in another reply.

Afterwards, Finesse2Tymes responded to JT on his Instagram Stories, disputing her assertion that he lacked natural beauty.

“Aye, JT, what you talking about ugly?” he said in a video. “Oooh, word? What you talking about ugly? Oooh, how you say it? City Girls just went down.”

He then expressed his threat to the Miami resident in a different Post, writing: “Guess she mad cause I said I can’t do nun wit no skinny ho. Just don’t know, I’ll throw u in the air and ‘BREAK U’ before u hit the ground.”

After the back-and-forth, JT moved to Twitter to respond to her critical remarks and insist on her innocence.

“Ppl will constantly pick on you & call you upset when you respond,” she wrote. “I’m not mad, have no reason to be mad! But you mad cause I’m not giving you the clarification you want?

“So you gone constantly bully me for what you wanna hear nah ima talk about you bad without clearing up nothin.”

She added: “I’m the most unproblematic person ever. Idgaf bout nothing, but if I find time to throw a shot back I will. Nothing personal, all love.”
