NY’s Rockwelz Presents New LP “Rockwelz Stories”

Multifaceted, seasoned artist and NY native Rockwelz, is back with his latest album “Rock Stories.” The 12-track album carries production by Sweden’s own K Sluggah, Vherbal Beats, Clark Make Hits, Nam Nitty, BeatLordz, Gutta Brown Productions, and NY Bangers. Rockwelz also links up with MXNXPXLY members M.O.U.F and John Jigg$ as well as Hip-Hop’s notorious Fred The Godson, and infamous legend the late Prodigy (RIP) for distinctive verses.

The clever lyricist delivers a compilation of records that describes the growth from adolescences to manhood, addressing the trials and tribulations along the way. Through witty wordplay and explosive lyrics, Rockwelz touches on those issues including young teenage boys playing the role as provider, families struggling to survive, being taken down by wannabe ‘mobsters’ and street thugs, chasing money, and even the awkwardness of finding oneself in a world that seems uncertain.

Rockwelz embodies a variety of unique flows from club bangers and gully street tracks to thorough NY style tracks to boom bap classics. Stream “Rock Stories” above and watch the official video for “Lil Man Got Heart” below.

Hip Hop has seen a resurgence of the wordsmith in recent years, with lyrically-inclined MCs not only shining but collaborating at an all-time high. The latest of such is the pairing of New York City MCs Joell Ortiz and Fred The Godson. Both men have garnered much praise for their chops on the microphone but in an added twist, their joint project is produced entirely by the legendary Harlem collective known as The Heatmakerz. Titled “Gorilla Glue,” the 9-track project features contributions from Jim Jones and DramaB2R.

New Single From Bronx Bomber Fred The Godson feat. Rick Ross – Special Love @FREDTHEGODSON @RickRoss

Bronx native Fred The Godson fell in love with the Hip Hop at a young age and has since made a name for himself as a lyricist in the game. Fred is one of the few that has continued to uphold Hip Hop’s origins, known for his freestyle punchlines and witty bars. Since his XXL Freshman cover feature with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, and Meek Mill, he has continued to leave his imprint on the culture, creating music with the likes of artists like Dave East, Vado, Joel Ortiz and more.

Fred’s latest project, “Special Love” featuring Rick Ross and Sincere Gubano is a transition record, sonically disparate from his distinct boom bap sound. Produced by The HeatMakerz, the track caters to the ladies and samples the classic record, “Tender Love” by Force M D’s. This is the first release leading up to his next project, slated to drop this Fall.

“The second I heard the record I could hear Rick Ross on there with me, so I called Fat Joe to come down to the studio to hear it. Joe lost Rick Ross’s number, so he had to call DJ Khaled to get it. We talked to Rick Ross and the rest is history.” – Fred The Godson
