(EP) Thurgo – “Juug Star 2” @thurgohmmg

Post author By OnTheSceneNY
Post date March 31, 2022

With Thurgo’s lyrical heat, expert delivery, and huge collaborations to round it off, “Juug Star 2” is high-octane hip-hop done right.

Detroit-based rapper Thurgo is rapidly on his way to becoming a household name in the American hip-hop scene. Now cementing that reputation even further with his latest offering, “Juug Star 2” is a heavyweight signpost of his artistic evolution over the past two years. With millions of streams accumulated over the past few years, and performances all throughout the US, Thurgo shows no signs of slowing down.

The second installment of his Juug Star series, “Juug Star 2” is a five-track hip-hop frenzy that lands exactly two years from the date that the original dropped on March 20th 2020, the very week that COVID-19 was declared as a state of emergency. Set for release this March 2022, the EP is being housed on Hollingsworth McCants Music Group, and features production from GLA Jaywiz and Asar and features a collab from rap legend G.T.

From the straight-talking, braggadocious lyricism of “Bubbly”, to the belligerently snappy “Percy Miller”, each avenue of “Juug Star 2″ lays out yet another enrapturing aspect of Thurgo’s diverse hip-hop sound. The EP not only marks out the next chapter of his journey, but also signifies a period of growth and change for the Detroit-based rapper. ‘Man in the Mirror’ is a prime example of this, one of the stand-out tracks that gives deep insight into his personal evolution as a man and artist who’s made mistakes and grown from them.

“I chose the worst time to release my first project, but it was still a moment of growth for me which helped elevate my career. This release represents the growth and extension of the musical vibes from part 1”. – Thurgo

Thurgo – “Percy Miller” + Announces New EP “Juug Star 2” @thurgohmmg

Post date February 15, 2022

Detroit artist Thurgood McCants, better known as Thurgo, is excited to announce the release of his latest single, ‘Percy Miller’. The song is the first single off his ‘Juug Star 2’ EP, Thurgo’s sixth body of work, which will be released on March 20, 2022. ‘Percy Miller’, as the title suggests, is influenced by the life and works of rapper and business mogul, ‘Percy Miller’, also known as Master P.

Two years ago, Thurgo released his first full body of work; Juug Star mixtape. Since then, he has released five compilations, keeping his audience truly satisfied. Due to the overwhelming support of Juug Star, Thurgo decided to release part two on the same day that the first installment in the series was released.

For many, the Coronavirus pandemic put a halt on their passions, but Thurgo powered through and continued to flood his audience with great music. Consistency and determination are keys to success and Thurgo demonstrates them well.

Black History Month is an excellent time for the Black community to honor the lives of those that have positively contributed to the betterment of society. Many in the music industry look up to Master P, and since his success has positively affected Thurgo, his song ‘Percy Miller’ is a tribute to the Rap Icon.

(Audio) Klamps – Door To Salvation

Post author By Welshdagod
Post date December 27, 2021

Detroit-based Christian rapper Klamps’ faith has played a pivotal role in his upbringing and his development as a man. Raised in the church and spending time as a minister, Klamps recognized a unique way to communicate with the youth in a manner they are more familiar with, thus kickstarting his career as an MC. Back in 2011, he began releasing gospel remixes to secular Hip Hop songs via YouTube. As the music gained momentum, Klamps stayed the course and has been gaining a lot of traction by releasing his own original content. Sonically, his tracks give the impression of any other melodic trap banger, until the listener focuses on the vocals and realizes that Klamps is singing praises to God. With that said, take a listen to Klamp’s latest offering, titled “Door To Salvation.”

Post date December 4, 2021

“Bubbly’ packs lyrical heat with an ice-cold delivery. This is independent hip-hop done right.

Detroit artist Thurgo has maintained his reputation as an independent artist who has managed to turn heads without the aid of labels or other intermediaries. Once again stepping up to the plate, he’s now returned with his very first high-octane freestyle. He lays down some serious heat over Young Thug’s (ft Drake and Travis Scott) ‘Bubbly’, serving as a reminder of exactly why the Detroit-based rapper has racked up hundreds of thousands of streams across the course of the year.

This is his first release since his self-titled “Thurgo” EP back in June 2021. Featuring Thurgo’s straight-talking, braggadocious lyricism and ice-cold flow, he once again cements his reputation as one of the rising stars of hip-hop to watch in 2021 and beyond.

“This track represents the calm before the storm for me as 2022 is right around the corner and I really feel my career is about to blast like bubbly!” – Thurgo

DA Donnieboy Drops “Black and Blue” & “Burn it Up” Videos

Post author By MJ Savino
Post date April 30, 2021

Configaration Records announces two new video releases from their artist DA Donnieboy. “Black and Blue” is produced by Configa Beats and “Burn it Down” is produced by Fro Magnum Man (also a Configaration Records artist).

Both videos embody the harsh reality of what the norm in America has become, which is racial genocides by way of police and governmental buttons. “In Black and Blue” DA Donnieboy addresses this with cut-throat truth serum. He’s aggressive in deliverance with validated reason…Is this the land of the free or the land of the oppressed? Why are these genocides justified? Has Uncle Sam covered “your nuts up”? DA Donnieboy spits bar for bar which actually is a fact for a fact! In “Burn it Down” he mentions the names of lives who were murdered by the hands of police while he proclaims it’s time to burn it down and rejoice in the ashes.

These video releases are taken from DA Donnieboy’s new album ‘Dreaming Azure’…”In this world filled with blues, Azure is the perfect balance between light and dark. Find your center…find your peace…even if only in your dreams.”

DA Donnieboy has aimed to create his best work to date and evidently has hit the mark. Transcend into this dose of earmilk filled with tales of motivation, friendship, self-worth, mental health, and most importantly how to stand up against racism and societal brutalities…Join the dream or wake up!

‘Dreaming Azure’ encapsulates Donnie’s inner struggle with life’s realities and trying to capture dreams of the future. His realizations, memories, and raw emotions are heightened by immaculate production and polished mixing. Stream the album here on Bandcamp and connect with the Detroit-based Hip Hop recording artist below.
