Pooh Shiesty has been charged with federal crimes in relation with a shooting in Florida in 2020– not to be confused with the Memorial Day weekend shooting in a Miami strip joint.

In October 2020, the “Back in Blood” artist and two buddies — Bobby Brown and Jayden Darosa — met up with two other people in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, to buy marijuana and high-end shoes. The situation deteriorated, and the two individuals were shot in the hip and butt.

On June 25, federal charges of Conspiracy to Possess Firearms in Furtherance of Violent Crime, Hobbs Act Robbery Conspiracy, and Discharging a Firearm in Furtherance of a Crime of Violence were filed against the rapper, according to the Miami Herald.

Using Pooh’s Instagram posts, investigators were able to link him to the crime. A Louis Vuitton bag was recovered at the site that had fallen out of the McLaren Pooh was driving at the time of the heist and included $100 notes with the same serial number as the cash the rapper flaunted on Instagram. Investigators also discovered the identical gun used in the crime on Darosa’s Instagram page.

For Conspiracy to Possess Firearms in Furtherance of Violent Crime, Hobbs Act Robbery Conspiracy, and Discharging a Firearm in Furtherance of a Crime of Violence, Pooh faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.
