(EP) Mia Ayana – Waves @miaayana___
Rising R&B artist Mia Ayana just released her second EP Waves on April 20. The project showcases a more vulnerable side of Mia, the problems she encounters day to day, and how she copes through it all. Reign, a hit single from the project has over 2500 plays and her music video Tonight, released April 24, has over 1400 on YouTube.
Waves euphorically brings to life feelings of intimacy and intoxication combined, creating a mystical sound sure to take listeners higher. The title of the project, Waves, describes Mia’s constant battle with herself and her desire to mediate frequencies that seem out of her control. Simply put, she’s illustrating her battle with life, depression, and the substitutes she uses to get through.
“I named this project Waves to illustrate the unending frequencies I encounter on this lifelong journey of finding myself,” Mia said. “I find happiness, pain, and peace in the Waves and I think each song on this project describes that perfectly.”
