A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST TICKETMASTER HAS BEEN STARTED BY DRAKE’S TOUR TICKET PRICES

A class-action lawsuit against Ticketmaster has been started as a result of Drake’s ticket pricing for his It’s All a Blur Tour with 21 Savage.

The Toronto Star reports that a Montreal man has accused the ticketing giant of price gouging. He claims that after paying $789.54 each for two “Official Platinum” seats for Drizzy’s concert at Canada’s Bell Centre on July 14, the cost of those seats dropped to $350 the following day after the 6 Gods announced a second show.

In the lawsuit, Ticketmaster is accused of “actively misleading consumers for their own financial advantage,” according to the legal firm LPC Advocat Inc. Drake would play two nights in Montreal, according to the lawsuit, but the venue purposefully “concealed this fact” in order to “squeeze” money out of supporters.

“Ticketmaster unilaterally decides which tickets it advertises and sells as ‘Official Platinum’ based on a given event,” the suit reads. “The result is that most, if not all, of the tickets advertised and sold as ‘Official Platinum’ are neither ‘premium tickets’ nor ‘some of the best seats in the house’ and are, in fact, just regular tickets sold by Ticketmaster at an artificially inflated premium in bad faith.”

The lawsuit follows Drake’s decision to add 14 extra dates to his summer tour with 21 Savage owing to overwhelming demand for tickets.

The tour begins on June 16 in New Orleans and travels through a number of other cities until coming to a close on September 5 in Glendale, Arizona. These cities include Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas.

Since then, more performances have been scheduled, including further dates in Houston, Dallas, Miami, Detroit, Montreal, Washington, D.C., Seattle, Vancouver, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Las Vegas.

The tour will now include a whopping 42 performances at venues including the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Madison Square Garden in New York City, and the Kia Forum in Inglewood.

The pricing of the Cash App Card and Sprite presale tickets, which started a few days before regular tickets went on sale to the general public, upset fans right away.

“These Drake ticket prices are outrageous,” One user tweeted, while another made reference to Chris Brown doing lap dances for fans while performing live: “Drake concert tickets are 1k??? he better chris brown me on dat stage.”

‘VICIOUS INTIMIDATION’ BY 50 CENT OF EX-DRUG LORD STARTS $300 MILLION LAWSUIT

A fresh $300 million lawsuit has been filed as a result of 50 Cent’s “vicious intimidation” of an ex-drug boss.

Corey “Ghost” Holland, who claims that 50 was given permission to conduct a nasty and ongoing campaign of intimidation against him, is suing Lionsgate Entertainment, according to AllHipHop.

In the case, it is stated that 50 Cent planned an intimidation campaign against Ghost, and that Lionsgate Entertainment was aware of 50’s negative tendencies but did not take the appropriate steps to stop him.

“The defendants knew about Mr. Jackson’s propensity to cause harm and violence to innocent and or vulnerable people, before they hired him and then retained him, then rewarding him with a 150 million dollar contract,” the documents read.

“Mr. Jackson is very open about his violent behavior, the defendant even acknowledged this behavior and chose to ignore it, due to the financial gains they had made with Mr. Jackson from 2016-2022, and still do partner with Jackson on numerous television deals.

“Mr. Jackson was found guilty of intentional infliction of emotional distress, just months before renewing his employment with the defendants, so the defendants knew what they were getting when they chose to do business with and employ Mr. Jackson.

“Mr. Jackson on video prior to receiving a massive contract with the defendants explains how he will HIRE HITMAN TO KILL PEOPLE FROM THE HOOD, who file any lawsuits on him, so his behavior is forseeable.”

It happens after Corey “Ghost” Holland sued 50 Cent, Courtney Kemp, and the STARZ network for $1 billion in 2021 on claims that Power was based on his life. At the time, 50’s legal team rejected those claims.

Ghost asserted earlier this year that 50 Cent visited his home twice in either July or August 2021. He said the rapper wanted to confront him and that his crew was armed.

On May 9, the two sides are slated to meet to attempt mediation in the $1 billion Power case.

KANYE WEST WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR THE INCIDENT OF THE TAKEN AND THROWN AWAY PHONE

KANYE WEST WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR THE INCIDENT OF THE TAKEN AND THROWN AWAY PHONE.

The Chicago rapper will not be charged in connection with the incident from January, according to TMZ, who claims that he is no longer a suspect.

According to records from the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office that TMZ got on Wednesday (March 15), the woman’s phone only sustained minimal damage that only harmed the $30 case that was around the device. According to the records, she also decided not to accuse Kanye.

While it was not proven, the rapper and producer thought a female photographer followed him as he left his daughter North’s basketball game at the time of the incident.

Another onlooker who witnessed the incident captured Kanye approaching the woman’s car and confronting her on tape. Ye was heard saying, “You didn’t have to run up on me like that,” as the woman recorded from inside her car.

“I wasn’t running. I wasn’t running – but Kanye you’re a celebrity,” the woman responded. To which Kanye doubled down, “If I say stop, stop with your cameras!”

A witness in the automobile captured Kanye going into the woman’s car, stealing her phone, and throwing it onto the street while the two continued to dispute. About 4:30 PM, according to reports, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrived on the site and were given access to the camera as proof.

Ye said that he believed his “human rights” were often infringed by professional photographers during a different encounter with paparazzi on the same day.

The rapper has already expressed his dislike of cameras in public. Kanye said that his terrible experiences with paparazzi are the reason he started taking medicine as a result of a different meeting with paps before these instances.

The disclosure was made in January during a conversation with a videographer by the Donda rapper, who has kept quiet since becoming a lightning rod for controversy last year.

A paparazzo started shooting Ye and his new wife, Yeezy architect Bianca Censori, while they were exiting a tanning salon in Los Angeles. West approached the photographer after recognizing him and asked him to stop filming because he thought it was “antagonistic.”

Kanye was beseeched by the cameraman, who said that he “just need[s] this one shot,” to which Ye responded:

“No, you got the shot, but I’m saying…You don’t even know! You just jump up on people like this.”

Afterwards, Kanye began to relax a little bit and spoke openly with the photographer about his ongoing problems with paparazzi, revealing that they were what caused him to be given medicine.

“Do you know the first time I ever took medication, why it was? Because I got mad at paparazzi,” he explained. “You know which paparazzi it was? The same one that shot Britney [Spears]. My dad did photography for newspapers. It has to be some kind of balance, some kind of conversation.”

A jury found Hurricane Chris not guilty of second-degree murder.

The 2020 slaying of 32-year-old Danzeria Farris Jr. was cleared of Hurricane Chris’ involvement.
The Caddo Parish, Louisiana jury returned their decision around 9 p.m. on March 14 following the conclusion of the rapper known as “A Bay Baysecond-degree “‘s murder trial’s closing statements.

Hurricane Chris, actual name Christopher Dooley, was acquitted on all counts, according to WGNO. He was accused with second-degree murder as well as illegally possessing a stolen 2016 Mercedes-Benz.

He would have been sentenced to life in prison if the jury had found him guilty of the crime.

“I wanna thank God, my attorneys at the Washington & Wells Law Firm, and my family for standing with me as my life was on the line,” the rapper said in a statement to The Shade Room after being acquitted. “They wanted to give me life if I was found guilty. Now I can hug my son and think about raising him to be a man.”

He added: “This situation drained me and affected my health greatly. God, I give you all the glory. I got my life back and words can’t explain how I feel. Thanks to everyone who wished me well.”

The 51/50 Ratchet musician had long maintained his innocence, saying he had acted in self-defense after Farris had reportedly tried to steal his car. He was eventually let out on a $500,000 bail. Afterwards, it was discovered that the vehicle had been taken from Texas.

“Hello world, hello world, hello world,” he said in a video after posting bond. “I’m sure you got the news by now. I was involved in a very unfortunate incident on Friday morning, a very unfortunate incident. I wanna thank everybody who’s been praying for the family of the deceased and everybody who’s been praying for my family.

He continued: “After a good, thorough investigation, my name will be cleared. Let God work, watch God work. God bless. Thank you.”

Prosecutors allegedly conjectured that Hurricane Chris killed Farris because he was too near to the $10,000 he had in his car during the trial, which started on March 8.

However, the rapper’s defense team argued that he had tried to hurt rather than kill Farris and begged that their client not be found guilty due to his notoriety.

EMINEM WHITE RAPPER’S COMMENTS ARE FOLLOWED BY ‘RACIST’ ALLEGATIONS, AND MELLE MEL REPLIES

Melle Mel has addressed to criticism of his remarks on Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem.

In a recent Art of Dialogue interview, the legendary rapper from Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five stirred up controversy by asserting that Em isn’t among the top five rappers because he’s white, Weezy can’t be the best rapper because he uses Auto-Tune, and no one wants to rap like Kendrick or Em.

50 Cent called out Melle Mel for his remarks against Eminem, telling her to “fuck outta here,” while Fat Joe and Papoose also defended Slim Shady, albeit in a more polite manner.

In a new video for his Hip Hop Corner podcast, Melle Mel responded to all the commotion surrounding his take on Billboard’s list of the Top 50 Rappers of All Time.

“Melle Mel has nothing against nobody in Hop Hop,” he began while lifting weights in the gym. “I’ve been in Hip Hop for 40 years. Very competitive, really have nothing against nobody. I’m not jealous of nobody, I’m not intimidated by anybody or anything, and I’m not bitter. I just come across as I come across ’cause I’m a man and I say what I say, and when I say what I say, basically, I mean what I say.”

He continued: “Everything that I said, that I commented on, it was to comment on what he wrote and who he put on this said list. And I think Billboard is not known for Hip Hop, of course, they’re known for records. So obviously, Billboard is more leaning toward guys that made records, compared to guys like myself that put in all the time in Hip Hop.

“We’re responsible for the genre. We’re the biggest influences in the genre, and if you ask anybody that knows anything about true Hip Hop, they will tell you that. If you ask anybody that calls themselves an MC, they will be the first to tell you that there is no modern day rap or Hip Hop of that nature if it wasn’t for Grandmaster Flash, if it wasn’t for the Furious Five, if it wasn’t for Melle Mel, if it wasn’t for [Keef] Cowboy.”

He added: “Like I said, the word ‘Hip Hop’ came from my crew.”

“Onto the white elephant in the room, ‘Melle Mel said that Eminem is only number five on the list because he was white,’” he said. “And I guess that started the uproar. Everybody’s just so angry that I would say that. I’ve even been branded a racist, which is neither here nor there because that’s almost impossible.

“I’ve been playing for all different kinds of people all my life. That is so far off-kilt that I don’t understand. But Eminem made a record, I guess the album was ‘White America’ or the record was ‘White in America,’ where he said he wouldn’t be as popular if he wasn’t white.”

Eminem positioned himself below Redman, JAY-Z, 2Pac, Biggie, André 3000, Jadakiss, Kurupt, and Nas, Melle Mel subsequently pointed out.

“Moving on from that fact, he also in another record, ‘Till I Collapse,’ named maybe five or six individuals and he put himself behind these five or six individuals. And I had said that he wouldn’t be in the top five other than the fact that he was white, but then he said that.

“So now my point, and it’s very simple, if he basically said what I said, we said very similar things, how could what he say not be racist but then what I said was racist? In other words, if he’s right for saying what he’s saying, then the only reason that I could be wrong is that I’m Black and I said it.”

ROB49 EXPLAINS ATTACK ON FRENCH MONTANA SET

A few information about the incident that happened beside French Montana in January and injured 10 people have been revealed by Rob49.

During a party with French Montana in Miami, Florida in January, Rob49 was one of the ten persons who were shot. The incident allegedly occurred in front of The Licking in Miami Gardens, where Rob and French were celebrating the release of their song “Igloo.” Early rumors said it was a music video shoot, but in a chat , Rob said it was just a get-together to celebrate.

“We were just chilling and we just wanted to perform the song and shit and celebrate because it was dropping that night,” Rob said. “So we just went to turn up with him. I saw [reports] that it was a music video and I was like alright I’m not even about to clear that up.”

In a series of videos posted on Instagram in February, Rob49 made a comeback, this time with his right arm in a sling and a bandage covering his shoulder while he hung out with some buddies.

“U JUMPIN INAT WATER NIGHA U JUST LIKE ME. BIGGEST VULTURE,” he captioned the post.

Following the shooting, French gave “thoughts and prayers” to the victims in a moving message.

“Last night, I was in Miami celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape w/ friends at a local restaurant,” he wrote on Twitter. “We unfortunately were at the wrong place, at the wrong time when an incident took place that left people hurt. Our thoughts & prayers are w/ the victims & families at this time.”

As for Rob49, he claimed that this experience has inspired him to produce new music and that he would soon be saturating the market with it.

“You never know man, you gotta go,” Rob remarked of releasing new music. “Life too short to be holding that shit.”

NEAR FIGHT WITH CHRIS BROWN IN A GERMAN NIGHTCLUB: “YOU WAS SCARED”

During his performance in Berlin on March 1, Chris Brown got aggressive with someone in a bar in Germany.

A video of Breezy purportedly fighting with a local TikTok user in a nightclub has surfaced. The man was led away by members of Brown’s security detail while Brown yelled at him.

The internet celebrity later uploaded the video on Instagram, which caught CB’s eye as he tried to explain the issue in the comments.

“You know you tucked your tail. You was scared to come outside. You would’ve been doing TIKTOKs from a hospital bed. Weird ass n-gga,” the R&B singer wrote.

The guy then continued to mock Chris Brown by making a reference to his infamous 2009 attack on his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. In response, he replied, “I’m not Rihanna.

Several followers defended Chris Brown after The Shade Room shared the video because they thought he was probably being provoked in this circumstance.

“At this point, folks be antagonizing that man,” one person wrote, while another added: “Now why they keep messing with Chris?”

This week, Chris Brown was the subject of other controversies in addition to the nightclub incident. Like he does at every event, Brown welcomed a woman on stage hours earlier during his Berlin show and gave her a lap dance while the crowd cheered.

But this time, he got so angry that she pulled out her phone and began filming the incident that Brown threw her phone into the throng. Fortunately for the girl, she eventually managed to retrieve her smartphone.

There are still a few performances remaining on Brown’s Under The Influence Tour in Brussels, Munich, and Amsterdam.

The Virginia native collaborated with Chlo Bailey on the song “How Does It Feel,” which was released last week.

YSL RICO CASE: YOUNG THUG CO-DEFENDANT’S REQUEST FOR MISTRIAL DENIED

Judge Ural Glanville rejected co-defendant Jayden Myrick’s plea for a mistrial in the YSL RICO case during a hearing this week.

Gina Bernard, Myrick’s attorney, requested a mistrial for her client after a video of an interview in which YSL Woody cooperated with investigators leaked on social media last month.

“While said evidence may not directly implicate my client, it along with all of the publicity and courtroom incidents since the start of this trial that have not been the result of any conduct of my client, Jayden Myrick, make it impossible for him to receive a fair trial, as well as a jury that is honestly and truly fair and impartial,” Bernard wrote.

According to the initial indictment, Myrick, also known as SetTrip and Jayman, is accused of two counts of involvement in criminal street gang activities as well as two counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a person who is jailed, and conspiracy to violate the RICO Act.

Judge Ural Glanville, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, rejected the plea at the hearing on March 1 and warned the parties to be more cautious when requesting a mistrial.

In order to prevent it from happening to other defendants in the case, Glanville also requested an accelerated inquiry into how the interrogation room footage leaked in the first place.

“It affects everyone’s right to a fair trial,” Glanville said. “I don’t know who did this but if this pertains to you, please amend your ways. You’re playing a very dangerous game with your six-digit bar number.”

This month, the court will continue the cumbersome process of choosing a jury by interviewing 1,200 potential jurors before the trial for Young Thug and the 13 other YSL associates starts.

Thugger has through a torturous jury selection procedure since it started on January 9. According to reports, many prospective jurors are worried about the trial’s duration, which might run up to nine months.

A $12k Manhattan nightclub rampage is alleged to have involved Travis Scott punching a sound engineer.

Travis Scott has been identified as a suspect in a nightclub attack in New York City where he is accused of punching a guy in the face and damaging his DJ gear.
After an altercation at the NYC nightclub Nebula during the early hours of Wednesday, La Flame is alleged to have punched a man on the left side of his face (March 1).

The victim, a sound engineer at the event, reportedly had no outward signs of injury. Also, Scott is charged with causing $12,000 in equipment damage, including speaker and video screen, during the argument.

The police record is formally categorized for “assault and criminal mischief,” but the NYPD is apparently still wanting to speak with Travis and his representatives to get his perspective.

The Houston rager was in town to support Don Toliver, a Cactus Jack signee who performed in New York City on February 28 after the publication of his new album Love Sick.

At Don T’s event, Scott really made a surprise appearance as a guest performer as they shared the stage to sing “Embarrassed,” their most recent joint effort. This week’s earlier release of Toliver’s Love Sick deluxe edition includes the song.

“We have a new Travis Scott record, expected to come in June,” Last month, Sylvia Rhone, CEO of Epic Records, announced to Billboard.

Although the high-profile executive’s announcement of the release date for Trav’s fourth album pleased fans, some are still hesitant to believe it given Scott’s unpredictable nature.

But the Cactus Jack visionary has been more outspoken about Utopia, which he teased during a concert earlier this month by saying he’d be unleashing it after the other label signees release their own releases.

At his 2023 Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Tournament at Minute Maid Park this month, Travis raked up Utopia when fans enquired about its release date.

“That muthafucka’s on the way,” he responded from the field.
