Righteous Delivers Visuals For “What Is” Ft. Ruste Juxx & DJ Mercilless

Post author By MJ Savino
Post date May 4, 2022

Righteous, a vetted Canadian emcee, drops visuals to “What Is” which is the first single release from his new project ‘and the DEVIL is…’

The video kicks off with DJ Mercilless doing what he does best on the turntables, cuts and scratches while Righteous is digging in the crates. What is an emcee if he can’t rap, what is a DJ if he can’t scratch, resonates throughout the track as Righteous uses witty punchlines and wordplay to depict the definition of Hip Hop, an emcee, and a DJ. Both Righteous and Ruste Juxx show off their lyrical talents while paying homage and respect to pioneers and the essence of Hip Hop culture, without sounding dated. Watch the video and stream the album below.

Stream the album ‘and the DEVIL is’ below which features AKX of Righteous Revolution, B Fox, Kool G Rap, Rashad Roulett, Thirsty McGurk, Van Glorious, Ikee Mula, and the late Faith Walker with production by DJ Mercilless, Ear 2 That Beat, and bytman.

Righteous “For the Love” Video

Post author By MJ Savino
Post date April 25, 2021

Canada’s Hip Hop sensation Righteous releases visuals for his new single “For the Love.” The single/video features Recognize Ali, the late Faith Walker, and DJ Mercilless and is taken from Righteous’ EP titled ‘Be Conscious Of.’

For those not familiar (shame on them) Righteous curates real, raw, feel-good music authentic to Hip Hop and the culture. He does it “for the love” which is evident watching the video. He is from an era of classics, a time when rhymes carried substance…20 years later he can’t be thrown off by gimmicks or trends, he’s too vetted. Although it’s “for the love” don’t get it twisted, Righteous runs this microphone survival of the fittest…

On the hook is celebrated R&B vocalist Faith Walker (RIP) who accentuates the lyricism with passionate, soulful melodies sure to raise neck hairs. DJ Mercilless comes through with classic cuts and scratches.

“For the Love” revives Hip Hop, the culture along with the 5 elements and is a reminder that the boom-bap era continues to thrive. Watch “For the Love” and stream/download ‘Be Conscious Of’ EP here on Bandcamp.

Righteous Ft. Edo G x G Dot & Born x Dominique – Radios (Video)

Post author By MJ Savino
Post date October 7, 2020

Righteous “The Administrator of Truth” enlists Edo. G, G Dot & Born, and Dominique Gorley for the second release (video) of his new EP entitled ‘Be Conscious Of.’

“Radios” produced by DJ Corbett exudes a classic boom-bap, head-nodding impression with a soulful chorus that amplifies the energy from Righteous, Edo. G, G Dot & Born. The animated visuals set the tone for a chill-vibe, a feeling radios used to emanate but somehow lost that grip along the way.

During a time where the world is oversaturated with conceit, greed, killings, and lust, “Radios” transcends us back when music allowed us to unite and vibe off each other. Press play for that experience and connect with Righteous below.
