(Album) CARV – “In My Dreams” @carv925

Michael Carvalheiro, better known as CARV, is a 18-year-old singer/songwriter from Bradford, Ontario. Michael has been surrounded by music his entire life. His father plays in a band and also taught him to play the guitar. Michael’s passion for music was always present but was never really his priority. He began to look at music as a career at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak. He found himself with a surplus of free time and started experimenting on GarageBand. He recorded his first-ever demo using the app and instantly fell in love with the idea of recording music. Michael’s music tends to reach out to people who can relate to the messages conveyed through his lyrics as he often writes about very personal experiences.

His debut album, “In My Dreams”, is now available on all streaming platforms and is what he considers to be “his mind on paper”.

(Fun Fact: Did you know that CARV’s first two singles, “April Showers”, and “Laying in the Snow”, were completely recorded and produced using GarageBand on his phone? He sang straight into his phone to record his voice!)

Canadian vocalist $ire has just released his debut EP “Catching Fire”. The project is a mostly solo effort with a few features from; Reuben Ocean, J.Kord and OVO affiliate. Top 5. With an R&B Pop vibe, the 9-track EP is a compilation of $ire’s passion, emotional journey and experiences, all packaged into an one easy-listening project.

“This project has something for everyone. It can be listened front to back or back to front, preferably in one sitting.” Says $ire.

The upcoming artist $ire hails from Northern Ontario growing up in the small urban town of Timmins, home of Shania Twain. $ire’s passionate flow entrances you as he interlaces in accounts of his life. The Canadian vocalist is easily cool; you can feel the certainty coming through in his music. His voice is a mirror impression of that, an infectious auto-tune blended with a divided out psychedelia.

Ceejayy, born Clifford Bassey Junior in Ontario, is the hip hop artist who brings everyone together for a good time. His sound is different but relatable, touching and unified. Inspired by events that have at some point occurred to either himself or his entourage, 24 year old Ceejayy is also sensitive about the female perspective, which sheds a new light to urban genres which often mostly favors the male narrative.

Coming out with his first album, Introduction of a King, Ceejayy wants to show the world the lively side of him, but also the more sensitive one, which not everyone is aware of. “I want the world to know that I’m not just a wild guy. Also, the cover shows a shadow of a king, meaning that I’m unknown, but I am coming to claim the throne. The songs symbolize the societal perception of the sensitive man, too.” To Ceejayy, the true meaning of a king lies behind how genuine he is.

The first single off the album is ‘OMG’, featuring hip hop artist Kwame. The song, considered a bonus track, is aimed at getting people to dance, smile and be happy. A club/party track that is easy to listen to, and showcases two highly skilled urban acts.
