Detroit, Michigan’s very own Jerome Whitaker hits our site today to take aim at any negative energies surrounding his career with “Pistol Primadonna ” When asked the story behind the song he replies, “ I am reflecting on being unappreciated and overlooked by supporters. Also family, past significant others , haters and im even dissing myself. I really let my feelings out on this. It is a single from my upcoming EP ‘Impact 2’ and it even has a remix version with Krizpy boi on the feature and the official studio album version. I wanted to represent Detroit as I did downtown at the fox theatre stating I can sell out a show by myself & Comerica park as a past date. It’s historic as well because Drake’s diss song ‘Back To Back” was the World Series concept so I took from that and I wanted to represent being the best mainstream artist out opting back and forth from singing and rapping.”

DMV-based rapper/producer Santa Sallet presents the self-directed music video for “Just Another Tuesday”, produced by Nemizzo, longtime collaborator and co-founder of Mugisha Sallet Productions (MSP). Sallet recently released visuals for “Championship Ring” (watch on Youtube) and “Chinese Funk” (watch on Youtube) in preparation for the release of Plutography, Sallet’s forthcoming album which blends salsa beats, southern trap, and eastern jazz with classic and conventional rap samples, reflecting Sallet’s international upbringing across South Africa, Dominica and the US. Sallet is planning a series of full-length releases, among them C.R.E.A.M. which recounts his journey from broke to financially free, and Women and R.A.P. which describe his pursuit of success in relationships and the music industry respectively. Baltimore rapper Rosito Dinero presents “Dreams”, his new single featuring Marleaux Desire and Aus Taylor. Cutting his teeth battling through school until “somebody stole a Cassidy verse and used it against me”, Rosito first broke out via Soundcloud (stream “Keep It Real” produced by Vanilla). “When I wrote this song it was around the time of the killing of Freddie Gray,” he explains. “With me living in Maryland my whole life it was wild to see the city and eventually the whole country up in arms over something that happened in our own backyard.
