SHORT MOSCATO drops video New Trap, Boom Bap directed by S’likeda.
Buffalo, NY’s Short Moscato is back with his sophomore project “My First Pair of Slippers.” The 11-track effort features Billie Essco, HOP HOP, Little Cake & Illusive with production from Wza, S’likedat, Scheme, Vice Versa, Program & More. Short’s mother took a photograph of him at age 4 in his first pair of slippers – Donald Duck slippers – which is one of his earliest memories of childhood: the comfort of those slippers.
“My First Pair of Slippers” is a coming-of-age album that showcases Short as an artist who is comfortable in his own skin; comfortable being true to himself and his art. The album is dedicated to his mother and godmother, who is currently battling ALS.

The duo of Xavi and Dre, collectively known as Jumpshooters are ushering a new era of California Hip Hop apart from the street and ratchet themes that have been so prevalent in that region. Hailing from Mid-City and The Jungles, they grew up on opposites of the track, Blood and Crip neighborhoods respectively, but later connected through their shared Jamaican heritage and from there, Xavi and Dre began working on crafting their own unique sound. Now, with years of hard work on their resume, the Jumpshooters are ready to bring their style to the masses with the release of their Scholastic Vision-directed visual for “Regular.” In the clip, which serves as their lead single, the duo takes listeners through a day-in-the-life in Los Angeles, showcasing their flashy lifestyle that might be over the top for some, but the norm for them. The Marz produced track will appear on their debut project “A Very Good Mixtape,” which is slated for release this Winter via Priority Records Distribution.
Pittsburgh native Hardo has taken the road less traveled to reach these heights of rap stardom. Coming home from prison in 2012, the MC survived the gangster lifestyle that is often glamorized in popular culture, transitioning over to music and has not looked back since. Upon his release, he released his breakthrough hit “Stressin,” which yielded over 1 million views on Youtube, and was later even shouted out by T.I. on his Young Thug-assisted hit “Ain’t About The Money.” Fast forward a few years and Hardo has recorded two albums, collaborating with the likes of Meek Mill, 21 Savage, Dave East and is currently featured on Tee Grizzly’s “Ain’t It A Blessing” Tour.
Returning to break bread with his Pittsburgh comrades, Hardo unveils the official music video for “Today’s A Good Day,” featuring steel city natives Wiz Khalifa and Jimmy Wopo. Speaking with XXL Magazine, Hardo shares: “This video was for my city, for the streets in my city, for all my brothers in the feds, Wiz, Wopo and I stood united for the city, so Today’s A Good Day!” The Stevie B-produced track was lifted from Hard and Jimmy Wopo’s joint project “Trapanese,” which is currently available.
