YOUNG THUG YSL ATTORNEY DETAINED FOR IMPOSSIBLE OFFICER ASSAULT & DRUGS POSSESSION

  • Post author By Devin
  • Post date April 20, 2023

For allegedly taking prescription medications to court and assaulting an officer, a lawyer representing Young Thug in the YSL RICO trial has been taken into custody.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the commotion started on Thursday morning (April 20) when Accused defendant Miles Farley’s lawyer, Anastasios Manettas, tried to enter the courtroom.

About 10 a.m., cops conducted a normal search of his suitcase and found a bottle of prescription medicine. They quickly detained him.

Manettas allegedly threw his phone to a different lawyer as the police surrounded him so that it wouldn’t be inspected, but it missed and struck an officer instead.

The lawyer was thus accused with simple violence on a police officer, having medications that were not in their original containers, obstruction, and interrupting court procedures.

Manettas was captured inside the courthouse in handcuffs in a Twitter image.

As mayhem broke out at a hearing on Wednesday, April 19, which was caused by The defendant Rodalius Ryan (also known as Lil Rod) yelling from behind chamber doors, Judge Ural Glanville requested that courtroom security be reinforced.

Ryan was “escorted out of the courtroom by a bunch of deputies,” according to Law & Crime Network reporter Cathy Russon, before being transported to a detention cell, where he reportedly screamed.

Young Thug was present in court at the moment and was seen on camera appearing perplexed as the atmosphere in the room grew tense. In court, cops remarked, “Everyone chill.” “Make the courtroom clear.”

Christian Eppinger and Coradrius Dorsey, two other YSL defendants, then got up and yelled at the police to get Ryan out of the holding cell. One of them yelled, “He didn’t do anything wrong!”

According to Eppinger’s lawyer, Eric Johnson, his client stood up because he cares deeply about Ryan and was worried about his safety.

“All of a sudden they take Mr. Ryan, the young child — I mean, he’s a kid — they take him to the back, and we can hear him screaming,” Dorsey’s attorney said. “We can hear him in the courtroom yelling for help. And we’re all confused.”

According to reports, Rodalius Ryan was hurt in a fight with a deputy back in January. While waiting to be taken from the jail to the courts, defense counsel Angela D’Williams said her client was assaulted in the head and collapsed to the pavement.
Ryan had injuries to his head, hands, and legs as a result of the event, according to D’Williams, who also expressed worry about a potential concussion. Yet sheriffs said Ryan “had been an ongoing problem” because he spit at a cop inside a police car.
In the YSL case, Young Thug is presently facing eight accusations, including various drug and weapons violations, two counts of involvement in criminal street gang activities, and conspiracy to violate the RICO Act.
Dolly White, Thugga’s other sister, appeared to confirm Grier’s demise when she reposted a photo of Grier that Lil Keed’s mother had originally published. Uncertainty surrounds the cause of death.

LIL YACHTY RESOLVES A NEGLIGENCE CLAIM WITH A SELLER WHO ALLEGEDLY USED HIS NAME TO MAKE MILLIONS

  • Post author By Devin
  • Post date April 12, 2023

Lil Yachty has agreed to resolve a legal dispute with an NFT vendor who was accused of using his brand and image to generate millions of dollars in sales.

According to Rolling Stone, the case, which was brought in January 2023 for “trademark infringement” against the NFT platform Opulous, was resolved on Tuesday (April 11).

The parties were allowed 45 days to “confirm the settlement in writing and file a dismissal of the action,” even though the settlement’s precise details were kept a secret.

Court documents obtained by RS read: “Of course, it is axiomatic that in order to offer the ownership interest to any musician’s copyrighted work, defendant, Opulous, must first have the agreement and consent of the musician at issue to sell the copyright to his or her work, with the musician in turn entitled to a share of the proceeds from the sale thereof.”

The Georgia native claims in a complaint filed earlier this year that Opulous advertised their “Lil Yachty NFT Collection” using his name and trademark without his consent.

The rapper discovered that Opulous had reportedly raised $6.5 million after providing “exclusive launch content,” but Yachty didn’t receive any of the proceeds. According to rumors, Yachty and Opulous’s creator Lee James Parsons only spoke on conference calls.

Yet, it is claimed that no arrangement or agreement was mentioned in these talks. Yet, it appears that the NFT corporation utilized the rapper’s photographs for commercial purposes.

More Lil Yatchy news includes the rapper’s long-awaited musical debut on Saturday Night Live, when he performed two songs from his most recent album.

The 25-year-old rapper recently paid a visit to NBC’s renowned 30 Rockefeller Plaza studio in New York City, where he performed the songs “drive ME crazy!” and “the BLACK seminole” off his fifth studio album, Let’s Start Here, with singer-songwriter Diana Gordon.

Yachty donned a low-key costume for his performance for “the BLACK seminole,” singing the classic rock-influenced song using a pitch-correction microphone.

“What’s wrong? What’s wrong, Mr. Man/ Your eyes are low/ And you’re walking with both hands on your head/ His response, he’s on a clean, clean high/ Both feet up on the ground/ But his head’s way, way, way in the sky,” Lil Yachty sang.

Lil Yachty returned to the stage with Gordon for his performance of “drive ME crazy!” while wearing an enormous Eskimo hat, a semi-loose long sleeve shirt, and shorts. Over the joyful theme, Gordon began the performance with a vocal arrangement that resembled yodeling.

Yachty then rose to the occasion musically and sang his stanza in a manner like the late Prince Be of P.M. Dawn.

While under house arrest, NBA Youngboy will host the album release party for “Don’t Try This at Home.”

  • Post author By Devin
  • Post date April 11, 2023

NBA YoungBoy will celebrate the release of his next album Don’t Try This At Home with his fans while being under house arrest, and he will do it via live stream.

The party will take place at Elevate Club in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 20, as YoungBoy tunes in live from his residence in Utah, according to TMZ. According to reports, his team is spending $200,000 on the occasion, which will have personalized decorations, cocktails made with 50 Cent’s Branson Cognac, and musical entertainment by DJ Carisma. The record will be released at the celebration at 9 p.m. PT, allowing the audience to enjoy it live.

Also, there will be a fan raffle in which the winner will have the opportunity to speak with NBA YoungBoy during the party through the live broadcast.

There are 33 songs on Don’t Try This At Home, including the recently released “WTF” featuring Nicki Minaj. Both YB and Nicki feature in the music video, which was also released on Friday (April 7) along with the upbeat song. However, neither artist is shown in the same frame as the other.

The Baton Rouge rap sensation said he would be “talking crazy” on Don’t Try This At Home during his February visit on the Rap Radar Podcast, but he later stressed that his lyrics are only for amusement.

I’ma talk crazy on there,” he said. “I’ma show you Murda Man. I’ma talk crazy on there, but I’m letting you know though, don’t try this at home. It’s all entertainment, bruh. I’ma talk my shit and everything I’m talking, letting you know, don’t try this at home.

“Entertainment and reality is very different. What I do think, some of the entertainers make their entertainment their reality also, if I said that right.”

“IT’S NOT REAL BEEF UNLESS IT’S YOUR EQUAL,” IS THE CAST OF “BEEF” ON HIP HOP DISS TRACKS

  • Post author By Devin
  • Post date April 6, 2023

You never know what in life could be the final straw for someone. What can go wrong between two individuals in the heat of the moment is delightfully explored in the new Netflix comedy Beef, which debuts on April 6.

Beef, which Lee Sung Jin based on his own experience with road rage, follows the fallout from a confrontation between two strangers: Danny Cho (Steven Yeun), a struggling contractor who believes that everyone is against him, and Amy Lau (Ali Wong), a successful businesswoman with what appears to be the ideal life. Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, and Patti Yasutake complete the impressive cast.

Yeun said that despite the outrageous nature of his character, he was able to relate to and make Danny, who is all about settling disputes, seem real. He attributed the inspiration for his performance to Jin’s writing.

“I think that acting to some degree is the art of  bringing a little bit of yourself to these roles,” Yeun  said. “But I think that Sonny really excavated this character and he wrote something so true that it felt like who isn’t this person? Who aren’t these people? So it felt very relatable. Every character felt relatable to me. Sometimes I feel like Amy,  sometimes I feel like Danny,  sometimes I feel like George. There are so many many characters that everyone can identify with.”

“I feel the same way,” Wong added. “I think that it was Sonny’s goal for every audience member to walk away with a different favorite character and to not have it be a landslide to me or to Danny but you know, maybe people are rooting for Team George or Team Naomi. It’s a really colorful cast of extremely beautiful, complicated and flawed characters.”

Wong talked about her involvement in the East Coast vs. West Coast beefs between 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G. in the 1990s when she was a teenager.

“I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite, but I grew up mostly at the height of Biggie vs 2Pac,” Wong said.

According to Yeun, for a quarrel in hip-hop to be considered a true battle, it must be a match between equals.

“After making this show, the thing that I really see about beef, especially in the Hip Hop world, is that it’s not real beef or a battle unless the rappers are equals. They have to be evenly matched,” Yeun argued. “Sometimes, I think they secretly probably really love each other and really respect each other. That’s why they beef. You know what I’m saying?”

The actor who plays George in the show, Joseph Lee, has talked about how he recognized aspects of himself in the role and how it influenced how he approached each scene.

“George obviously comes from a completely different background and family circumstances as myself,” Lee explained. “But, Sonny, really provided enough seeds in there from a human standpoint for me to really connect with George.”

Yeun and Wong were interested in the series, which attracted young Mazino, who portrays Paul, to the screenplay. He initially believed he wouldn’t get a call back.

“I mean it’s A24, Netflix, Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, the series was definitely stacked. I was like, ‘There’s no way I’m getting this.’ Then I sent the tape. I don’t need to hear anything else. Let’s make this happen. I was excited to find out that I would be a part of the cast,” Mazino said.

“The writing in the audition process was very, very solid. It definitely stood out for sure,” Lee added.

Lee didn’t think twice to declare a classic song as his all-time favorite diss track when it came to rap beefs.

“To me, I think Nas’ ‘Ether’ is just one of the greatest songs of all time, even if it’s a diss track. It’s just it’s pure magic,” Lee said. “But I would have to go with Nas as my favorite track about beef.”

As an alternative response to the feud debate, Mazino honored the great MF DOOM, one of his favorite rappers.

“I would say MF DOOM and mortality. I wish mortality went away because I think MF DOOM was GOAT,” he said. “God bless his soul.”

A MEGAN THEE STALLION fan was detained after insulting a police officer in order to enter the performance

A Megan Thee Stallion fan who made a daring effort to enter her local performance over the weekend by posing as a police officer was apprehended.

According to ABC13, Trayvone “Lil Darus” Stevenson, 28, was detained on suspicion of impersonating a public official when he tried to enter Megan’s headline performance at the AT&T Block Party in Houston on Friday night by masquerading as a police officer (March 31).

Stevenson pretended to be a security guard at the free event while donning a phony “K-9 Unit” vest, but Houston police immediately figured out what was going on as he was taken into custody.

The 28-year-old, who works as a barber in the neighborhood, has no background in police enforcement and wasn’t even carrying a dog at the time. During his court appearance on Monday, April 3, Stevenson paid a $20,000 bail and was freed from Harris County Prison.

“Megan Thee Stallion is a fantastic draw, big draw, especially here in Houston, but this is still a felony case. You cannot go and impersonate an officer to get into a concert venue,” prosecutor Mathew Jackson said at Monday’s hearing.
The Houston Hottie performed on Friday night as a part of the Final Four Fan Fest, which was held while her city was the site of the NCAA Final Four for men. It was also her first significant performance since Tory Lanez was convicted of shooting her in 2020 and her first headline show in the city since 2019.
Another viral moment for the “Savage” rapper involved Megan Thee Stallion as she threw out the first pitch on March 30 at the Houston Astros’ home opener.
With Adam Sandler, the Grammy-winning rapper is allegedly in negotiations to get her next acting gig in the upcoming Safdie brothers film.

Deadline claims that Josh and Benny Safdie have begun casting their forthcoming Netflix film on sports memorabilia, and Megan is one of the actors they are looking to add.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO TESTS IN A MEMBER OF FUGEES’ CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY TRIAL, PRAS

  • Post author By Devin
  • Post date April 4, 2023

Pras, a member of the Fugees, is now on trial for felony conspiracy charges, and Leonardo DiCaprio is the newest witness to testify.

The actor testified in court in Washington, D.C. on Monday, April 3, as one of numerous witnesses for the prosecution, according to Rolling Stone.

In his testimony, Leonardo DiCaprio—who has not been charged with any wrongdoing—discussed the alleged schemes of Malaysian financier Jho Low, who is accused of stealing $4.5 billion from Malaysia’s 1MDB sovereign wealth fund.

Pras is charged with helping Low and illegally transferring part of that cash into American politics, notably by contributing to the 2012 reelection campaign of former President Barack Obama.

After meeting Low at a party in Las Vegas in 2010, according to Leonardo DiCaprio, the Malaysian businessman invited him to “a multitude of lavish parties.”

The Oscar-winning actor testified in court, “I understood [Low] to be a huge businessman with many connections.” “He was a prodigy in the business world.”

Low supported DiCaprio’s humanitarian endeavors, and the actor said that he frequently took part in auctions “to bring in funds” for his foundation.

A business associated with Low also provided funding for Martin Scorsese’s 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio.

Leonardo DiCaprio ultimately turned up things he and his organization allegedly got from Low to law enforcement, including paintings by Pablo Picasso and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

During their discussion of American politics, the actor also recalled Low’s desire in “significant contribution” to the Democratic Party in advance of the 2012 presidential election.

DiCaprio “basically said, ‘Wow, that’s a lot of money.’” When Low was supposedly discussing a sum between $20 and $30 million.

Before to the hearing, TMZ found Pras (actual name Prakazrel Samuel Michel) outside the courthouse, but he had “no comment.”

According to the prosecution, Pras received hundreds of millions of embezzled Malaysian dollars in exchange for leading a campaign to influence other governments against the US government.

Moreover, the Fugees singer is charged with attempting to persuade the Trump government to halt its investigation into Low and the 1MDB sovereign wealth fund.

“The defendant needed money and was willing to do anything to get it, including being an agent of the Chinese government,” prosecutor Nicole Lockhart said. “The defendant wanted money and was willing to break any laws necessary to get paid.”

Pras entered a not guilty plea to the federal conspiracy and record-falsification accusations. He may spend 22 years in jail if found guilty.

TWO PEOPLE ARE KILLED AND FIVE OTHERS ARE HURT IN THE YO GOTTI RESTAURANT SHOOTING

  • Post author By Devin
  • Post date March 30, 2023

According to reports, two individuals were killed and a number of others were injured in a shooting outside Yo Gotti’s Prive restaurant in Memphis.
Shots were fired just after the restaurant shut its doors at 11 p.m. on Wednesday night, according to the Memphis Police Department (March 29).

The shooting, according to Memphis police, was the result of a dispute that broke out inside the eatery, they said in their statement.

One of the two male victims was discovered dead at the site, while the other passed away from his injuries at a local hospital.

Following the incident, five additional patients, four men and one woman, were taken to the hospital.

“On March 29, 2023 at 11:17 p.m. officers responded to a shooting outside 6980 Winchester,” the statement reads. “Two male victims were located. One was pronounced deceased on the scene and one was transported to [Regional One Health] critical where he was later pronounced deceased.”

“Five additional victims, four males and a female, arrived at area hospitals by [personally owned vehicles]. Prelim information indicates that the shooting stemmed from an altercation that started inside the club.”

Yo Gotti’s lawyer, Arthur Horne, explained that this was the first instance of this like to occur at Prive in a statement to the local Memphis news site WREG.

Horne further emphasized that the incident took place in the restaurant’s parking lot.

“On behalf of Prive, they’ve been in business for 10 years, and nothing like this has ever happened at their establishment,” he said. “It happened out in the parking lot, and it ended up in a shootout.

“Nothing happened inside the restaurant. Despite any conflicting reports, they were closing, and this happened at the end of the evening in the parking lot.”

Just eight months have passed since Memphis police prevented a mass massacre at Yo Gotti’s Birthday Bash concert.

At the time, Fox 13 Memphis claimed that a guy at the performance made multiple death threats after his girlfriend dumped him.

Gotti thanked everyone who helped the performance go smoothly and safely on Twitter, especially the Memphis Police Department.

“Thank you to the fans, artists and everyone involved behind the scenes for making Birthday Bash a smooth, secure and successful event,” the CMG mogul tweeted. “We were informed of a potential threat regarding an individual seeking to harm attendees leaving Birthday Bash that occurred 3 hours after our show ended.

“I would also like to thank the Memphis Police Department for their swift and proactive action in ensuring that all attendees returned home safely.”

A REQUEST FOR A NEW TRIAL IN THE MEGAN THEE STALLION SHOOTING CONVICTION IS FILEED BY TORY LANEZ

  • Post author By Devin
  • Post date March 30, 2023

After being convicted responsible for shooting Megan Thee Stallion during a drunken argument in July 2020, Tory Lanez has requested a fresh trial.

The rapper’s legal team formally began working on an appeal of his conviction on March 28th, according to Rolling Stone, citing a number of reasons that they claim “deprived” him of a “fair trial.”

The central argument of the petition is a September 2020 Instagram statement from Tory Lanez, who stated that Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former closest friend and aide, was not the shooter.

The lawsuit also included a statement from Joshua Farias, Lanez’s social media manager, who claims to have been the one to respond “that’s not true” to a remark on The Shade Room’s account that read: “People saying Kelsey shot her.”

The defense claims that during the December 2022 trial, the prosecution blindsided them with the Instagram comment, and that the judge should have prevented the jury from viewing it since the defense lacked enough time to find out who posted the reply.

The reply, according to Tory’s attorneys, amounted to an apparent admission by Kelsey that she did not fire the pistol, given that Kelsey and Megan had both denied being the one who shot Megan, which was the basis of Tory’s defense.

“The court erred on numerous questions of law in allowing the People to introduce this post, depriving defendant of a fair trial,” the motion reads. “The only acceptable remedy for this miscarriage of justice is a new trial.”

The complaint asserts that by introducing a shirtless image of the rapper and inquiring about “the big gun that Tory has tattooed at the center of his chest,” the prosecution wrongfully depicted Tory Lanez as “a gun-wielding career criminal.”

The use of Lanez’s AK-47 tattoo, which his attorneys claim is “an homage to Tupac Shakur” and “a symbol of Black unity and the fight against racism,” is said to be a violation of AB 2799, a new California statute passed after his trial that aims to bar “creative expression” from being used in court.

Moreover, according to Lanez’s legal team, the judge’s decision to permit the introduction of his rap lyrics and a music video during cross-examination if he took the stand “impermissibly chilled” his right to testify. This decision also contravenes AB 2799.

In the aforementioned 2022 song, “Cap,” the Sorry 4 What rapper can be seen sharpening a bloodied cleaver and then using it to slice off what seems to be a horse leg, seemingly as an insult to Megan Thee Stallion.

Prior to the hearing scheduled on April 10, the prosecution is anticipated to submit a response to the motion. Lanez, who may spend up to 22 years in jail, was scheduled to be sentenced on that day, but it has been reported that both parties have agreed to postpone it.

The fresh request is filed while Tory Lanez’s legal representation undergoes yet another shift. On Wednesday, it was revealed that David Kenner, the well-known defense lawyer famed for helping Snoop Dogg win his 1993 murder case, had left his team due to a “scheduling conflict.”

After breaking company with George Mgdesyan, who served as his attorney during the trial, Tory recruited David Kenner in January. Jose Baez and Matthew Barhoma will continue to serve as the rapper’s legal counsel.

MONEY MAN SAYS DUE TO HARDCORES FITNESS & SHOOTING ROUTINE, HE DOESN’T NEED SECURITY

  • Post author By Devin
  • Post date March 29, 2023

Money Man has said that due of his rigorous exercise and shooting regimen, he is a unique breed of rapper that doesn’t require any protection to keep him safe.

The former Cash Money signee said he formerly weighed more than 300 pounds in an interview with MONTREALITY where he discussed the value of eating a nutritious diet.

When asked how his life will be when he is in his 80s, he said, “Once I learned to eat right, I do that. I’m gonna make sure I’m physically training and I’m gonna make sure I’m rich as hell.”

“I was 340 pounds at one point — a bout 229, 230 now, so I lost 100 pounds over the years. Routine kinda makes perfection, so if you’re training for something and you do it every day, you’re gonna become elite at it.”

“So my routine is wake up, run 10 miles, then I go shoot for four or five hours. Then I go back to the crib and I record every day. So I try to keep that routine. I’ve turned down shows just to keep my routine going.

“I don’t like having security, like grown men having to secure me, so I’m gonna make sure I’m on point at all times. I work on my senses, all kinda shit like that.”

Money Man released videos of him working out on the treadmill for over nine miles and practicing his shooting aim on Twitter to quell any doubters who could have expressed skepticism about his claims.

“Daily routine,” he captioned the footage, while adding in separate tweets: “Shit ain’t no secret big money at da range 4 hrs a day ifykyk … No talking just show and prove.”

https://twitter.com/MoneyMan/status/16394462480243384370

This is not the first time Money Man has distinguished himself as a unique rapper. The Atlanta-born, New York-raised rapper made history in 2021 when his label, EMPIRE, gave him the first advance paid entirely in Bitcoin.

After that, Money Man released Blockchain, a compilation of all things crypto-related that included contributions from Moneybagg Yo, Jackboy, and BLEU.

Even Meek Mill was motivated to emulate Money Man’s ground-breaking business strategies. Meek posted a screenshot of the $1,002,912 advance Money Man had gotten at the time alongside the message, “Ima get my next record deal paid in bitcoin behind @moneyman.”

Money Man rapped on the song “Sweetie,” “Skinny bitch inside my DMs, she remind me of GloRilla/ I had drew down on a fan, but he only wanted a picture.”

Big Glo expressed her disdain of the lyrics on Twitter after learning about them and pleaded with her followers to help her track down the author of the offensive rhymes.

A follower commented, “Skinny bihh in my DM, she reminds me of GloRilla,” which prompted the “F.N.F.” hitmaker to respond: “Hey guys, what song is this??????????? I hate it.”

Syko Bob, a rapper for Kodak Black, was given a five-year jail term for gun possession.

Despite the lack of information, Syko (actual name Cambrel Smart) entered a plea of guilty on December 1, 2022.

A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Trooper stopped the Kodak Black affiliate on January 5, 2022, at about 3:00 a.m. when he was seen speeding on I-75 in Collier County, Florida, according to local news source NBC 2.

When the rapper’s car was inspected, the troopers discovered a loaded revolver between the front and back passenger-side seats and a small bag of marijuana in the center console.

The rapper Sky the Snipe was allegedly charged with a DUI, carrying a concealed firearm, having a firearm or ammunition in their possession while they were felons in prison, having more than 20 grams of marijuana in their possession, and having a controlled substance without a prescription, according to an alleged copy of the jail records that was found on Instagram.

The 29-year-old earlier gained notoriety after being hurt in a drive-by shooting in April as one of three victims. According to the Sun Sentinel, Syko and two other males were reportedly shooting at a black BMW that drew up to them while they were driving in a Lauderhill, Florida area.

While the BMW kept firing bullets, the rapper attempted to flee but crashed into two other moving vehicles. According to reports, someone in Syko’s vehicle fired back before the BMW took off and hit a van.

When the cops arrived, both vehicles had been abandoned and the road was covered in shell shells. “All three victims,” who had been taken to the hospital by witnesses after the shooting, “refused to cooperate with the investigation and provided no details on the events.” according to Lt. Michael Santiago.

Syko Following the event, Bob told his 116,000 fans on Instagram Live that everything was OK and that nothing had happened to him.

“Please stop talking about ‘get well’ when shit ain’t wrong,” he said. “Don’t send me shit about no ‘get well’ no more when shit ain’t happen to me.”
