Hear the 911 call: LUDACRIS’ MANAGER CHAKA ZULU PROBABLY FIRED IN SELF-DEFENSE DURING DEADLY SHOOTING

In the triple shooting that involved Chaka Zulu, manager of Ludacris, more information has come to light. Several people who have seen the CCTV video taken Sunday (June 26) outside the APT 4B restaurant in the Buckhead district of Atlanta told TMZ that it appeared to be a case of self-defense.

Chaka Zulu was allegedly leaving an event with his daughter and another friend when he was accosted by a different man in the parking lot. In the video, Chaka and the other man began talking before the exchange turned hostile. He was being held by another man, who had his hand around his waistline.

When a female spectator attempted to shove the man away from music mogul Chaka Zulu, the man instead bumped Chaka with his chest, causing Chaka to seize the man by the collar. At that point, a group of perhaps three or four additional males who had been witnessing the entire incident began to kick and hit Chaka, knocking him to the ground.

One of the men ultimately pulled out a pistol and at least two shots were fired. In response, Chaka took out his own weapon, stood up, and fired at least one shot back.

Chaka needed assistance, the man who described himself as restaurant security told the 911 operator during the frantic call from the scene. According to reports, Chaka was shot at least once, the bullet striking him perilously near to the heart. After undergoing emergency surgery, he is presently being treated in a nearby hospital in severe condition.

The cause of the fatal altercation is still unknown, however it may have been a disagreement about the man’s refusal to enter the party. Artez Benton, a 23-year-old guy, passed away from his wounds, although it’s unknown who pulled the trigger.

LUDACRIS GIVES PRISON APP FOUNDERS $10,000 TO HELP BLACK WOMEN GET INTO THE TECH INDUSTRY

Ludacris surprised Jay’Aina “Jay Jay” Patton and her father Antoine, the father-daughter combo behind the Photo Patch Foundation, on The Ellen Show recently. They collaborated to create an app that allows children to send photographs and letters to their parents who are incarcerated, with the group assisting over 70,000 families in sending over a million photos to far.

With Antoine serving seven years in prison while Jay Jay was just three years old, the foundation’s mission is particularly poignant. In reality, Antoine learnt to code while incarcerated and passed on his expertise to his daughter once he was released. Jay Jay’s success with the Photo Patch Foundation has inspired her to urge more Black women to pursue careers in technology.

“Right now, I’m on a mission to help 10,000 girls of color get into the world of tech and start their career path,” she said. “Just for me, there’s not much representation of people who look like me in the world of tech and I know other little girls want to get into this world, but they don’t see that they can do it.

“So, I want to be that guide and help them do it and just start them off with their career. We actually have a scholarship fund as well that we’re raising awareness for to help these women and girls start their career and just let them know that they can do.”

Ludacris was brought onto the stage by Ellen Degeneres to applaud the duo’s efforts and award them with a $10,000 cheque.

“I love what you guys are doing, absolutely love what you’re doing,” he said. “I have family members that are incarcerated – all they ever ask for are pictures. You guys are connecting the world. I have my own foundation that helps facilitate dreams for young ladies like yourself.

“I came here personally because I want to donate $10,000 to what you’re doing. This is from my foundation, the Ludacris Foundation, to you guys. Continue striving, continue doing everywhere you’re doing. You are the future, 100 percent.”

Ellen then doubled Ludacris’ gift, bringing the total to $20,000.

LUDACRIS CONFESSES TO HAVING A HOARDING PROBLEM, BUT FOR GOOD REASON.

Ludacris has a hard time parting with some possessions, but with 22 acres of land on his Georgia home, he has plenty of room. Luda acknowledged to being a hoarder of his belongings when he joined The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (August 17).

“My wife will tell you I am the worst when it comes to hoarding,” he explained. “My wife’s family, they still live in Africa, so everything I hoard we put on this container that goes across the water and I give it to everybody in Africa who’s going to appreciate it so much more than any family members or anybody I could give to in the United States of America. I am the worst hoarder of all, trust.”

DJ Envy started the debate by thanking Ludacris for bringing his vintage Acura Legend from the 1990s to his car show, which he still drives and has over 250,000 miles on. Since he got it before his popular rap career took off, the automobile has personal importance for the Atlanta legend.

“I’ve had that car now two decades,” Ludacris admitted. “There are things that you have for your whole life and that’s one of those things that’s a staple in my life. I had it before the deal and commercial success, so I’m gonna ride it literally until the wheels fall off.”

In other developments, Ludacris has entered into a relationship with Jif. Luda uses Jif peanut butter as a hidden ingredient in the advertisement, which leads to him developing an Auto-Tuned flow to rap with and generating another smash single. Gunna also appears in the video and will be featured on the remix of his current single “Butter.Atl.”

AFTER COMPARING DABABY TO LUDACRIS, LIL DUVAL STARTS AN INTENSE TWITTER DEBATE

Lil Duval may not be facing the same kind of backlash that Trick Daddy did with The Beyhive earlier this week, but he’s certainly feeling the heat on Twitter.

The rapping comedian sent out a tweet that said, “DaBaby is this generation Ludacris” in the early hours of Thursday (June 24), and Ludacris fans pounced.

While DaBaby has had a spectacular climb to fame over the previous several years, fans of Ludacris were enraged by the resemblance. Ludacris has been releasing hits since 2000, has several multi-platinum albums, stars in one of the most successful film franchises of all time (Fast & Furious), owns his own label (Disturbing Tha Peace), is the co-owner of Conjure Cognac Liquor, and opened his own restaurant called Chicken N Beer, which is named after his 2003 multi-platinum album of the same name.

This is only the top of the iceberg. Ludacris was one of the first Dirty South rappers to reach global popularity, earning an MTV Video Music Award and three Grammy Awards along the way, as pointed out on Twitter.

DaBaby has two No. 1 Billboard 200 albums – 2020’s KIRK and Blame It On Baby — as well as one No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 song with Roddy Ricch, “ROCKSTAR.” Beginning with the track “Suge” in 2020, he was nominated for six Grammy Awards.

Despite DaBaby’s victories, Twitter found a method to make sure Ludacris won, sparking a heated argument in the process.
