The Westside of Atlanta, Georgia native Young TeTe released for promotional purposes “Go Crazy” featuring the recently passed Lil Keed of YSL Records, he was an American rapper and songwriter. He was signed to Young Thug’s record label YSL Records, as well as 300 Entertainment. His song “Nameless” reached number 42 on the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B Songs Airplay chart. Lil Keed passed away May 13, 2022, in Los Angeles, California rest in peace Lil Keed. Young TeTe’s upcoming debut mixtape, Came a Long Way. The project is slated to drop later this year and will feature Boosie BadAzz, Young Dro and more.

Island Wave Releases SXSW Show Highlights In Search of Artists to Join This Year’s Lineup @izaislandwave

Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, Kalpee pioneers the ‘Island Wave’ movement, the first ever Caribbean stage at SXSW dedicated to giving artists from the West Indies a platform to highlight their heritage and engage with the international music scene.

For its first year at SXSW, ‘Island Wave’ brought 31 Caribbean artists to Austin., Texas for an unforgettable performance at The Flamingo Cantina. The set at ‘Island Wave’ was led by master of ceremony, dancehall and reggae legend Ras Kwame (Reggae Recipe/ Capital XTRA Radio), and featured performances from artists such as Kalpee, Nailah, Blackman, Tessellated, Jimmy October, Freetown Collective, and Jaz Elise. ‘Island Wave’ brought a record breaking crowd to The Flamingo Cantina and SXSW was proud to announce the continuation of ‘Island Wave’ for the upcoming 2023 circuit and beyond.

‘Island Wave’ is not only a sublime showcase of Caribbean culture, but also, an opportunity to address pressing issues such as a lack of resources and funding for the creative arts throughout the West Indies. Through ‘Island Wave,’ Kalpee has created a groundbreaking genre known as ‘New Calypso’ with the purpose of identifying and celebrating Caribbean heritage through music. To bring as many artists as possible out to SXSW this year, ‘Island Wave’ has partnered with Music TT and the Jamaican Tourist Board to highlight as many artists as possible. With the show highlights release, ‘Island Wave’ highly anticipates an incredible sophomore circuit and is looking for another Carribean artist to join the lineup.

Behind The Frames has been making waves on the music scene for quite some time now. Having released a bevy of content over the years, the Boca Raton, Fl native has been able to amass an ever-growing fanbase while also accomplishing career milestones that most newcomers can only dream of. From touring with Lil Xan, Glokknine and doing shows with Kodak Black, Behind The Frames’ presence has certainly been felt, particularly in the South Florida scene. This is along with collaborating with the likes of Drill legend Chief Keef and platinum producers Zaytoven and Reazy Renegade. As the summer of 2022 begins to wind down, Behind The Frames is gearing up for a new release and has unveiled the Awful Flesh-directed video for his single “Provisions.” The track will appear on his forthcoming project slated for release on October 19, his birthday. Harlem native Trips SOG rise is a testament to consistency and perseverance. Having released a catalog of music as part of the SquareOff collective, Trips’ talents have led him on tour with the likes of Meek Mill and MGK, while also collaborating with the likes of Teyana Taylor, Corey Gunz, and ASAP Rocky. The latter whom Trips produced a track on Rocky’s breakthrough debut album. Pudge Capone’s musical journey is certainly a lesson in perseverance and resiliency. At one point, the Lebanon, Pennsylvania native was sitting behind bars, contemplating whether he was wasting his talent. That moment of clarity led to him honing his craft and focusing all of his energy on launching his career upon release. For nearly 4 years since he has been a full-time artist, Pudge Capone has collaborated with the likes of Fatboy SSE and amassed well over 100K streams on Apple Music alone. This is all the more remarkable considering his limited number of musical releases. Often splitting his time between Pennsylvania and New York City, Washington Heights specifically, Pudge has built a strong network of creatives to collaborate with from both states that help bring his art to life.

Queen’s artist Cam Blair’s recent visual for “Pick It Up” presents another perspective to club life. While Blair and his entourage are boxed-in with lights, which pay homage to 90’s music videos, it also illuminates the mishappenings in night time activities. Blair’s lyrics challenge the gloricatication of club norms. While we may believe we are having a good time, in reality we may be going over budget, are tempted by lust, and surrounded by individuals who have toxic motives. His upbeat tempo and revelation lyrics fit well with the music of the night, but gives listeners an incentive to be more cautious of their behavior.
