(Video) Star2 feat. Lil Poppa – “Pain” @Star2Official @ThatBoyPoppa

Star2 returns with another heart wrenching collaboration with Jacksonville, Florida rapper Lil Poppa (CMG/Interscope). The two rappers worked together previously on their hit “Real Life” and have come together again on “Pain” to discuss shared bonds of trauma, conflicting emotions, and sources of affliction. The visceral rap single features lush piano melodies, cathartic lyrics, and emotive vocals from Star2 at the heart of each chorus for a sentimental and stirring listening experience.

Emblematic of their generation, of their trauma, of their shattered selves, both artists croon with sadness and resignation. Underlying the anxiety, underlying the addiction – is constant pain. The video features a young woman, defeated by her own pain – slashing her wrists in an old-fashioned bathtub. “Pain” is a beautiful song with a profoundly sad but accurate depiction of what lies inside our youth.

(Video) Thump – PAIN

Hailing from Paterson, NJ, newcomer Thump has been carving out his lane and the proof is in the results. Shifting gears from being an athlete to a recording artist is a dream many have sought but so few are able to accomplish. Thump has been able to do this seamlessly through his infectious singer/rapper style showcased in his music. He first found success in 2015 with his single “Ball Like Woah, which yielded over 1 million streams. Since then, Thump has garnered well over 5 million streams across all platforms.

Looking to take his talents to the next level while also flexing his entrepreneurial muscle, Thump currently records out of his own studio which is where his latest project Come Outside was constructed. Revisiting the project, Thump has shared a brand new visual for the Ill Will Beatz-produced cut “Pain.” The video, which was filmed by Bruno Aponte and directed by Thump, finds him lamenting about deep betrayal and ultimately, persevering.
