Jamel Thomas is an up and coming rapper, lyricist and instrumentalist based in musical hotbed city of Toronto Canada. Making a name for himself with unrelenting and powerful live performances, Jamel is no stranger to the stage and rocking crowds. Following up an impressive catalog of indie releases, Jamel’s sound cleverly mixes a great blend of genres to create a vibe and style of hip hop that is all his own. Sharpening his skills working with a range of great producers and creatives, Jamel raps, sings and plays the guitar on the new single “Want You Bad” and shows complete control in his craft and delivery.

“Want You Bad” is a sexy new single to bring some heat to the winter months. The upbeat production produced by Florida native Lambo The Producer and catchy chorus give Jamel’s new single some major replay value. “Want You Bad” has just been released on all streaming platforms and is the latest in a string of new singles Jamel has been dropping since September. Speaking on what he’s working on and what fans can expect, Jamel says “Right now I’ve been steadily releasing a new song a month since September 2019, leading up to an official album next Spring. New music videos will start coming out in February, with “Want You Bad” being one of the music videos planned. I’m always performing live around the Toronto area so fans can stay up to date on that through my IG. I have an upcoming tour across Europe planned for May 2020 and will be looking at coming to NYC to do a show in the near future as well. Jamel Thomas is back with another track off of his upcoming mixtape; “One On the House”. This time presenting a stunning array of fall visuals with a decidedly upbeat track produced by Kavi Bless, Jamel Thomas himself and additional co-production by Neo Tempus. The instrumental changes throughout the song, giving the listener a taste of fall, with it’s many changes, and a foreshadowing of cold winter beats. Jamel Thomas’ vocals come in hot, following the song’s further nuances in delivery, at times seeming like there’s more than one person on the track.

With a nod to cuffing season, Jamel Thomas delivers bars as crisp as the fallen leaves, exploring the changing season with themes of love interwoven with his predilection for fall fashion. Listeners will find double meanings in this song as he says: “…Right now I’m focused on making moves, it’s like that having major goals, my summers gone that’s the way it goes, now I’m in clubs with the Kangols, only got time for the tango” while other verses hint he “might be handcuffed, not by the law” and “her love’s where I plan to go, but till spring my hand is cold”.

Like many of us, Jamel Thomas’ strong work ethic and dedication to a dream is often put to the test by beautiful women. “This Fall” offers listeners a glimpse at his passion as he continues to dedicate himself to his fans by releasing another solid track off the upcoming mixtape. What stands out the most about this song is the fact that it can easily be a club banger, but isn’t really typical of rappers these days to make a song that’s really about celebrating a season. Jamel Thomas is an up and coming artist from Toronto Canada. With an alternative hip hop sound that infuses elements of styles and genres such R&B, Jazz and golden era hip hop, Jamel has a captivating element in his music. Following up his debut EP “Acclaim”, Jamel is gearing up to release a new offering this fall titled “One On The House”, which is expected for release October 13th, 2017.
