(EP) Landstrip Chip – Catch My Good Side @LandstripChip

Fresh off the release of his riveting visual for “Round 2,” Landstrip Chip returns with his new project Catch My Good Side. Released via Asylum Records, The 9-song effort paints a portrait of one of the most radiant voices coming out of East Atlanta, boasting features from Latto, Seddy Hendrinx, and Vory. The platinum-selling artist/songwriter has been making a name for himself within the industry for quite some time, penning songs for superstar acts such as Dreamville, City Girls, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Tinashe, French Montana, Ella Mai, and a handful of others. Now with his project upon us, Landstrip Chip looks to introduce audiences to the sounds that made him in demand among fan favorites.

“Some people might want to hear me rap, others might want to hear me do R&B music,” says Landstrip Chip. “I feel like none of those alone are my good side, they’re all my good side so if you catch me stepping into a different genre, that’s only a different angle of me. Whichever angle you get from me, it’s going to be my good side.” On the project, Songs like “My Old Life” are a mellow ode to his dedication via memories of hard work and hardships Chip experienced as a young boy. Other songs like “Friendzone” with Seddy Hendrinx and “Bedspread” featuring Latto introduce the album’s driving force of romance and love lost while records like “Fade On Me” and “Real Nigga” showcase his versatility and DIY approach to music. Fort Lauderdale native JoeVille took the road less traveled on his journey. Though his father was an artist manager, the upstart had no interest in pursuing music but eventually, the frequent trips to the studio encouraged him to explore his creative side. Taking music seriously, he formed the collective CLRD Candles alongside his close friends and collaborators. After graduating high school, JoeVille took a leap of faith by moving to Los Angeles in order to pursue music even further, despite not having a plan or a place to live.

While living out of his car, JoeVille still managed to release his debut project, CLRD Thoughts, Vol.1, The 20-track offering spawned the viral hit “Sexy.” “ The track began making an impact on TikTok, and to date, has been utilized by members on the platform over 730K times. The monumental visibility he garnered on TikTok translated organically to other platforms, yielding over 22 million streams across SoundCloud, Spotify, and YouTube, among other DSPs. This success soon led to a major label deal with Warner Music Group’s Asylum Records imprint.

Now under the Asylum umbrella, JoeVille has released his latest project titled CLRD Dreams. The project showcases JoeVille’s intrinsic knack for making people feel good with the unabashed confidence boosts he delivers on wax. Furthermore, JoeVille has also released the official video for the single “Swing,” which you can watch here.

The Carolinas have been one of the more talked about regions in Hip Hop last year thanks to the mercurial rise of DaBaby. With that said, the Charlotte native wasn’t the only one putting on for the Carolinas, namely South Carolina newcomer PG RA. Newly signed to Asylum Records, the emerging emcee is ready to carve out his own niche on a global scale with his distinctive delivery and overall aesthetic. “PG RA embodies the authenticity forging its way to the forefront of today’s Hip Hop,” says Wayne “Wayno” Clark, VP, A&R for Asylum Records. “While he’s very young, his unique experiences offer a new insight into what the Carolinas represent. He’s creating an exciting, new lane for the next generation of lyricists.”

Having released his debut project, CEO Vol.1 in 2018, PG RA went on a remarkable run unveiling his follow up EP Up & Boppin as well as 2019’s Blowing Candles. The latter went on to be heralded as one of the best independent releases of last year, receiving critical acclaim and organically hitting Apple Music’s Top 100 Album Chart.

As his star continues to rise, PG RA celebrates his first official offering as a member of the Asylum Records family with the release of his autobiographical new single “Made It.” Produced by GRAMMY-nominated beatsmith Jetsonmade (DaBaby, Roddy Ricch, Jack Harlow), the single will live on his forthcoming EP God’s Gift.
