After being trapped in an elevator for three hours, SWAE LEE is rescued: ‘I’M FUCKING HOT & EXHAUSTED’

Swae Lee was stuck in an elevator for a portion of the weekend.

After spending three hours in a heated elevator, the rapper from Rae Sremmurd was captured on camera being rescued. Judging on the expression on his face, he appeared to be in a bad mood.

“We’ve been trapped in an elevator for three hours,” Swae says to the camera as he prepares to mount the ladder. “Three hours trapped in an elevator man. I’m fucking hot and exhausted.”

Although Slim Jxmmi was also in the elevator, the footage shows him talking on his phone and appearing to be much more composed.

The tragic misfortune for Swae and Slim comes at a time when things had been going really nicely for the pair. By releasing a brand-new song titled “Denial” in June and announcing that they were hard at work on their next album Sremm4Life, they just broke their four-year sabbatical.

“Bout to get a dose of this Sremmy,” Swae tweeted alongside the album’s cover art. Slim Jxmmi added, “Time for that 4 foe four for phor.”

The song “Denial” was released along with a video directed by Bryan Barber, in which Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi were shown relaxing on Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s peaceful beaches with lovely ladies before venturing into the favelas.

In a last June interview with HollywoodLife, Swae Lee said that Stremm4Life will save the summer and that the “Black Beatles” combo had written a song with Lizzo.

“We tryna save the summer with the SREMM4LIFE, man,” Swae said. “We got so much music. We just got a couple more verses, you know what I’m saying? We tryna balance our life and the studio and everything and just get it mixed down and get all the videos shot. Every day it’s a non-stop process. Every day we working. It’s like a baby – you can never take the attention away from it. You always gotta have constant attention on it. Be thinking about it 24/7, what’s next with it. So, we on our final steps of it.”

Rae Sremmurd’s 2018 album SR3MM, which also included features from Travis Scott, Future, Pharrell, Young Thug, The Weeknd, Juicy J, and others, was the last time fans heard from the group. The album sold about 57,000 total album-equivalent units and debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
