LOS ANGELES POLICE BELIEVE THEY HAVE DETERMINED THE CAUSE OF MASTER P’S DAUGHTER’S DEATH

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the cause of death of Master P’s 29-year-old daughter Tytyana Miller, as he continues to grieve her passing. Initial evidence suggests a lethal overdose, according to TMZ. Despite the absence of the substance she was consuming, drug paraphernalia was recovered at the site.

An autopsy has been done in the meanwhile, but toxicology findings will take many weeks. In his original Instagram post regarding Miller’s death, Master P implied that drugs and mental illness had a factor in her untimely demise.

“Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana,” he wrote. “We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve. We appreciate all of the prayers love and support. Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel.”

In a 2016 edition of WEtv’s Growing Up Hip Hop, Tytyana Miller discussed her difficulties with addiction. Master P and his son Romeo Miller try to persuade her to get therapy in a scene from the episode.

“That trip really opened my mind to see how I would miss you the most because you were always here for me,” Tatyana says. “I just thought that the trip stopped me from ever wanting to be in Hollywood seen with those celebrity friends. I feel like I don’t need to go to rehab. I feel like I could do good without rehab.”

Master responds, “You say that Tata, but on the serious side, I think we should get some professional help just to make sure you stay on track. Let’s not say you don’t want to go to rehab. I think you should at least try because I don’t want you to go back to this.”

While it may be too late for Tytyana Miller, Master P has pledged to devote a portion of his life to assisting those who are battling addiction.

“I put my faith and trust in God, I realize that no person is exempt from pain or death,” he added. “Every day families are dealing with the loss of their loved ones due to mental illness and substance abuse.

“I have committed to invest my time, resources and passion to help other families affected by these same issues. Our healing process will not end in grief, we will celebrate my daughter’s life. Tytyana was inspiring, uplifting, artistic and a loving person who deeply cared for others.”
